Raw women’s title match official for Royal Rumble

Before Monday Night Raw this week, Becky Lynch created some anticipation for the show by mentioning an expiring contract. It was a set up for her using that to demand WWE give her a match against Asuka at Royal Rumble on Sun., Jan. 26, 2019, at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

The idea, of course, is that WWE has been keeping her from that match to protect her. So she’s using her expiring contract as leverage to get what she wants. What she wants is revenge, seeing as it was Asuka who took the SmackDown women’s championship from her at TLC in 2018, then beat her in the rematch at Royal Rumble back in January.

Now, she’ll get her chance.
