Royal Rumble 2020 match card, rumors

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Royal Rumble event set to take place on Sun., Jan. 26, 2020, at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, the company’s annual beginning of the year showcase featuring its most popular gimmick match. It will crown the next number one contender to either the Raw (World) or SmackDown (Univesal) championship for the men, and either the Raw or SmackDown women’s title for the women.

We’re still a full month away from showtime, and the card currently looks like this:

  • Men’s Royal Rumble match

No one has officially declared for it just yet.

  • Women’s Royal Rumble match

No one has officially declared for it just yet.

  • Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (Universal championship)

Daniel Bryan won a triple threat match

That’s all that is official for the show so far. The Wrestling Observer has reported that Brock Lesnar’s next match is scheduled for this show, and one would think that means a WWE title defense, though the Observer also says that may not be the case. Cain Velasquez is also scheduled for the show, likely in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Becky Lynch vs. Asuka certainly appears to be on the table for this show as well.
