We recently heard Sting would do whatever he could to come out of retirement for a WrestleMania match with Undertaker. Goldberg wants a do-over after his Saudi Arabian disaster with The Dead Man.
Kane wants a spot on Taker’s dance card, too. But not a one-on-one. Knoxville County Mayor Glenn Jacobs is looking for one more fight by his kayfabe brother’s side. As he told Corey Graves on last week’s After The Bell podcast (transcription via 411mania):
“I’m never gonna leave WWE. Like anyone that’s been there for a long period of time, I don’t think you ever want to. And man, I’d love like one last match with Undertaker, the Brothers of Destruction against someone. That would be so awesome. So yeah, I always — it’s true. In WWE, you never say never. And when it comes to me, that’s how I treat my career going forward.”
The only problem I have with this is... who do they face? I guess you could use The New Day here in a face vs. face dream match scenario. Acts like Viking Raiders or AOP could use a win over the future Hall of Famers, but I can’t see the Brothers being booked to lose. Odds are this ends up being Taker & Kane clowning an upper mid-card act like The O.C. or The Revival. Or it’s another Legends show down in the KSA, and while the D-X match wasn’t as bad as The Phenom’s outing with Goldberg - it wasn’t good.
What do you think, Cagesiders? Ready to see the Paul Bearer’s boys destruct somebody one more time.
