WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 13

Do you know what you want? You don’t know for sure. You don’t feel right, you can’t find a cure and you’re gettin’ less than what you’re lookin’ for. You don’t have money or a fancy car and you’re tired of wishin’ on a falling star. You gotta put your faith in a loud guitar. God gave rock and roll to you, but me, I gotta liveblog this here pro wrestling show, folks.

The show opens with a recap of last week’s Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler stuff that ended in the Big Dog getting handcuffed to the ringpost and having dog food rubbed all over him.

King Baron Corbin makes his entrance on a litter and joins Ziggler in the ring.

They get on the mic and talk about how something stinks but they can’t tell if it’s the people or all of the dog food they smeared all over Roman... a week ago... in a different city. Sure, boys.

Corbin says he came out here just to talk about how great his 2019 was and how he’s gonna finish humiliating Reigns on Sunday at TLC. He’s gonna use tables, ladders, and chairs to make the Big Dog bow down to his king. They mock Roman using dog analogies again and say he’s just a shell of the man he used to be, but he’s got every window and door in this arena covered if he shows up to screw things up.

Ziggler talks up how Baron put Roman down and invites us to join him in hailing King Corbin.

In the process of all this, they said the words “new day”, so...

Enter the New Day.

They were sitting in the back watching TV and then they saw this buffoon in a Burger King crown talking about his imaginary kingdom. Corbin mocks Kofi Kingston for losing the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in short order, but he’s still proud of his work as champion. You wanna talk about 2019, he’ll talk about 2019, and Baron had a heck of a year, but Kofi won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania and then proceeded to beat everybody that challenged him.

They keep going back and forth for a bit and Kofi says if Baron was a real king he’d carry himself with dignity and respect.

I lose the thread for a beat (sorry, figuring out what to have for dinner, folks!) and commentary hypes up the rest of the show to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we’re informed that Kingston vs. Corbin has been made official.

Baron and Dolph are shown walking backstage when they come across some beat up dudes. They go in the locker room and find a bunch of randos laid out.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are interviewed backstage but before they can get a full answer out, Fire and Desire attack!

They beat the former tag team champions down on the stage! Alexa and Nikki make it into the ring and we’ve got a bell!

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Fire and Desire (Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville)

Brawling to start, things settle down to Rose and Cross but Deville tags in and cleans house. Tag back to Mandy, double teams, running knee, cover only gets two. Chaos, Bliss pulls Rose out of the ring and Cross capitalizes...

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross win by pinfall with a lateral press from Cross on Sonya Deville.

Sami Zayn is shown walking backstage, where he runs into Heavy Machinery.

They’re wrestling his team of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura later, but Otis drew Sami in the SmackDown secret Santa and he’s got a present for him. Zayn opens it up and it’s a Christmas ham, made with love! Sami says it’s the worst gift he’s ever received, seeing as he’s a vegan and all. Otis apologizes and says he didn’t know, and Zayn throws a fit about it.

Sami continues to berate Dozer and calls him a dumb oaf, which takes the big man from sad to mad as Zayn’s associates roll up to ask if there’s a problem. Sami puffs up and tells them they’re losing. They go to leave and Cesaro takes the ham... AND DROPS IT ON THE FLOOR!

Chad Gable and Mustafa Ali make their entrance, they’ll be in action after the break.

Chad Gable & Mustafa Ali vs. the Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Wilder)

Wilder and Gable to start, mat grappling early, Chad shining with his Olympic skills. Shot off, leapfrog, Dawson tags in and Gable gets low-bridged into the announce table! Revival in control, bouncing Chad face-first off the announce table, back inside, cover for two! Scott working a chinlock, Gable with an arm drag to escape, tag to Dash. Chad with a big German suplex, the path is clear but Wilder cuts him off!

Trading strikes, Wilder with a fireman’s carry backbreaker and a tag to Dawson. Powerbomb / elevated bulldog, Ali with a dive and everybody’s down and out as we go to break!

Back from commercial and our babyfaces take the Revival out with dives! Gable up top, nobody home on the moonsault, Ali tags in. Perched up top, diving stomp / back suplex combo, only two! Chad legal again, looking for Chaos Theory, nope, Dawson with a powerbomb... NOPE! Scott sets Gable up top but he slips out... CHAOS THEORY! WILDER WITH A SPLASH! MUSTAFA ALI 450 SPLASH!

Ali up top, the Revival are ready for him...

The Revival win by pinfall with Shatter Machine on Mustafa Ali.

Bayley is interviewed backstage.

She says she gets it, Lacey Evans is a former marine and a mom and some people think that’s impressive, but those people don’t matter to her. The title speaks for itself-- she’s a champion and Sasha Banks is off recording a rap album, and that means they’re the best.

Enter Elias... who is strumming his guitar just off-camera for Dana Brooke.

Bayley goes and yells at him for interrupting his champion. Elias says he got her in secret Santa and thought he’d give her a song as his gift. He starts playing and it’s about how she’s ugly and asked Santa for a threesome with him and Sasha and her haircut makes her look like a dude, and other assorted misogynistic bullshit.

Dana walks off in a huff and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a house ad for WWE Backstage.

Bayley vs. Dana Brooke

Bayley right in with a slap, Brooke returns a forearm and puts boots to her in the corner until referee Ryan Tran admonishes her. Bayley to the floor, a handspring elbow puts her into the barricade, back inside, another handspring back elbow but the champ runs her over with a lariat for two. Mounted punches, reverse chinlock, shoulder thrusts in the corner and Bayley sets her up top.

Jockeying for position, Dana with a sunset flip powerbomb... NOPE! Somersault Oklahoma roll also only good for two and Bayley seeks the solace of the ropes before kicking Brooke’s leg out from under her. Bayley right on her...

Bayley wins by pinfall with the Stroke.

We get a video package for Miz vs. Bray Wyatt and go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a Sheamus vignette.

Renee Young interviews Miz in his home.

She starts off asking about the legendary interaction Miz had with Daniel Bryan on Talking Smack and why he’s had a change of heart. He says they bring out the best and the worst from each other, and he gets how valuable Bryan is to SmackDown, so he may not like him, but he respects him and needs to do the right thing by him.

He talks about the photo Wyatt edited last week and how it made him feel as a father who needs to ensure his children’s safety. His family is the most important thing to him and he doesn’t know what Bray is capable of. Renee asks if he’s afraid and Maryse is shouting. Miz comes running and she shows him that Bray hacked the baby cam and put the Funhouse pals in Monroe’s crib!

They rush up to the kid’s bedroom and pull her out of her crib, where there’s just one weird doll left that’s upsetting her. Miz says we’re done here and the segment cuts.

Firefly Fun House begins and Bray has the weird doll with him.

He says he was just trying to be nice, after all it’s the holiday season! A time of giving and he can see how much Miz loves his family. That makes his heart say “Yowie wowie!” and that’s what makes this so hard. She would teach him these lessons, and snitches get stitches-- Miz was so focused on exposing what happened to Daniel Bryan, that he ended up exposing himself.

Not like that, you silly goose! Bryan is with him, but Miz is with Wyatt! He says he was sick at one point and taught himself that pain isn’t real. It’s just a chemical reaction in your brain, and you can train yourself to not feel pain at all. He punctuates this statement by headbutting the counter. He says Miz can train himself not to feel love, and all he has to do is let him in.

And by the way, Marine 5 was fire! Best in the series!

Heavy Machinery make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler are walking backstage when they find his litter laid out and the guys that carry it unconscious on the floor.

Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) vs. the Artists (Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura)

Cesaro and Knight to start, circling, collar and elbow, Cesaro gets him in the ropes and breaks dirty with a punch. Off the ropes, Tucky with a roll and a dropkick and then a springboard crossbody! Tags made, Otis and Nakamura lock up and the big man shoves him off! Pelvic thrust, Shinsuke with a waistlock, stomps to the shins, off the ropes and Dozer runs him over with a shoulder.

540 roundhouse kick, tag to Cesaro, double whip, the big men knock the Artists to the floor and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Cesaro in control on Knight, reverse chinlock applied, Tucky backs him into the corner but the Swiss national whips him into the corner for an uppercut. Cesaro stacks him up top, tag to Nakamura, corner knee! Falling knees, guillotine choke, Knight gets himself free and hits a Lou Thesz Press! Tags made! Otis clears house, scoop and a slam and the t-shirt is off!

Cesaro with a kick to the midsection, Dozer fires up, into the “everybody do something cool” part of the match, dumping Shinsuke out... CATERPILLAR! Sami Zayn runs interference, everybody gets dumped, Nakamura is ready...

The Artists win by pinfall with Kinshasa from Shinsuke Nakamura on Tucker Knight.

Backstage, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler brief some security ahead of our main event, to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get some hype for Batista and the nWo getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

King Baron Corbin vs. Kofi Kingston

Circling, Kingston with a waistlock but Corbin slips out and forearms him in the ribs. Kofi with a dropkick, duck a lariat, kick combos, whip reversed into a shoulder block. Off the ropes, catch Kingston but he gets dumped to the floor. Trust fall senton sends us to break!

Back from commercial, Corbin blocks a monkey flip and shoves Kingston to the floor! Beating him down on the floor, back inside for a cover, no good and Baron presses the attack. Whip to the corner, Kofi dodges, enzuigiri connects, springboard cut off with a right hand! Posing for the crowd, desultory right hands and Kingston starts fighting back. Baron lays him out and the “Burger King” chants start up.

Kofi boots up in the corner, Corbin out and back in and Kingston hits SOS... NO GOOD! Counter Frankensteiner, basement superkick, off the ropes... BOOM DROP! Calling for it, Ziggler runs interference and referee Danilo Anfibio throws him out! Kofi beckoning Corbin back in but Dolph won’t leave. A brawl breaks out and Anfibio calls it...

The match goes to a double disqualification, presumably.

Big E gets on the mic and says if they want to fight, he’s got a match for ‘em right now!

We go to break before it gets going.

King Baron Corbin & Dolph Ziggler vs. New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston)

Back from commercial, E is getting worked over by the heels. Fameasser... NOPE! Ankle pick, tag to Corbin, hammer whip, hanging Big over the ropes but he dodges the dive! Belly-to-belly, tags made and Kofi cleans house! Back body drop puts Dolph on the floor but Baron interrupts the dive! Grounded elbows and Ziggler gets the handcuffs! Referee Danilo Anfibio has no choice...

New Day win by disqualification.

Kingston fighting valiantly but he gets overwhelmed and cuffed to the post just like they did to Roman Reigns last week! Scepter shot to the face, Baron goes under the ring and gets another can of dog food. The Revival cut Big E off with a Shatter Machine! Holding the dog food up...

ROMAN REIGNS IS HERE FOR THE SAVE! He dispatches all the security goons with ease! The Revival get into it with him, they put him in the ring but the Big Dog Superman Punches them and Ziggler to hell! Baron blindsides him and gets a Superman Punch of his own! The brawl continues and we get a preview of what a TLC match is when he knocks Ziggler off a ladder and into the announce table!

That’s the show, folks.
