Sure seems like Matt Hardy’s latest WWE run is coming to an end

Matt Hardy was back on Raw last night (Dec. 9). Matt made the trip from his North Carolina home - where he and wife Reby just welcomed their third son to House Hardy - to Greenville, South Carolina so he could put Drew McIntyre over in a roughly three minute match.

After months of not being used by WWE, this was Hardy’s second television match in recent weeks. On Nov. 25 he was beaten by Buddy Murphy in similar fashion.

That’s led to some unhappy fans. For his part though, Matt’s taking a very professional view of the situation:

Of course, there’s still some intrigue to the Broken/Woken One’s reaction. Arcadia being a paradise in Greek mythology, his “countdown to Arcadia” can be interpreted as the time until his WWE contract is up. That’s reportedly at the end of February 2020. A recent edition of Hardy’s Free The Delete YouTube series hinted at Matt having “13 weeks” until... something. Creative direction is said to be a sticking point in his negotiations with the company.

His recent booking doesn’t make that something seem like a WWE push, but who knows? Hardy could be counting down to his next character reinvention.

It just seems increasingly likely that character will show up somewhere other than Raw or SmackDown.
