Women’s ladder match, title tilt & more intrigue set for Nov. 13 NXT

The Raw and SmackDown rosters will be on the other side of the Atlantic next week, so NXT shouldn’t have to worry about red or blue invasions. They can instead focus on building to the other show taking placing in the Greater Chicago area the weekend before Thanksgiving - TakeOver: WarGames. And some other internal drama before the fight for brand supremacy at Survivor Series.

We’ll be watching to see if Finn Bálor tips his hand, especially with an open spot on Tomasso Ciampa’s men’s WarGames team, and Finn seeming kind of chummy with their opponents in Undisputed ERA.

There’s also open questions about the Women’s WarGames match. I’m actually more interested in who NXT Women’s champion Shayna Baszler will name as her fourth to go along with Io Shirai & Bianca Belair. And what the fallout will be from Rhea Ripley choosing Mia Yim to join Candice LeRae & Tegan Nox instead of Dakota Kai. But we also have to figure out who gets the entry advantage so they can play THE NUMBERS GAME for the first half of the match.

It’s gonna be the heels, but by booking a ladder match between Shirai and Yim, at least NXT has made the process of getting to that answer fun...

The Cruiserweight division is also under the NXT umbrella, and it looks like title matches happen on Wednesday nights now. Angel Garza defeated Tony Nese on last night’s show to become #1 contender, and then slapped champion Lio Rush in the face to start the build to next week’s battle for the purple belt.

What are you most looking forward to on next week’s NXT?
