The build to NXT’s main event between Raw’s AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows and the hometown team of Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee & Matt Riddle started before the show even did. The O.C. trio took out Undisputed ERA in retaliation for Adam Cole’s gold-laden squad’s actions on Monday night, and set-up the match with Ciampa’s WarGames team in the first segment after 8 p.m. Eastern.
After several minutes of the kind of fun action you’d expect if someone told you those six men would be in a tag match, the story spilled over into the overrun. And that’s when things got really interesting.
We didn’t get a winner to the trios bout. We also didn’t get much in the way of answers about where allegiances lie heading into Survivor Series weekend.
When Finn Bálor showed up to 1916 Matt Riddle on the ramp, and respond to AJ’s Too Sweet with the guns that launched Bullet Club, it seemed like we might be headed one way.

But then Finn stood by as Adam Cole arrived, superkicking AJ and taking Ciampa out with a Last Shot. It even looked like Undisputed’s leader and the Real Rock ‘N’ Rolla shared a smile as the show closed...
Oh, you thought @AdamColePro was going to sit back and watch?

Tonight's main event = All-out chaos.
...and we wouldn't have it any other way. #WeAreNXT #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/RgbKvHIL0n
The finish smartly worked for both the stories NXT is trying to serve right now. Ciampa, Riddle, Lee and an unannounced fourth man will face Cole, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly in a WarGames match at TakeOver on Sat., Nov. 23 in Chicagoland. The next night’s Survivor Series show is all about Raw, SmackDown & NXT fighting for brand supremacy.
Does Bálor care who wins either battle?
Is he looking to reform Bullet Club with Doc, Machine Gun and the man who replaced him as that group’s leader when he left New Japan?
This is the second time his actions have helped Cole’s cause... is he throwing in with Undisputed?
Or is he only in it for himself?
It’s a good way to get me to keep watching, that’s for sure.
