It sure felt like Rey Mysterio used Dio Maddin as bait, but oh well.
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with Brock Lesnar back on the red brand and trying to hunt down Rey Mysterio.
Lesnar spent much of the first hour of Raw roaming the hallways and attacking random WWE employees in search of Mysterio. The Beast’s hunt led him to the announce desk where Paul Heyman got in Jerry Lawler’s face and made a crack about not dying on air a second time.
Maddin got in between Lawler and Lesnar, before paying the price.

Moments after Lesnar laid Maddin to waste, Mysterio ran out from the back donning a bat. The Lucha legend targeted Lesnar’s knee over and over again, and finished off the champ with a title belt to his skull.

Post-attack, Mysterio challenged Lesnar to a match at Survivor Series on Nov. 24.
