A perfectly normal Matt Hardy showed up to Raw

In a jam-packed first hour of Monday Night Raw, none other than Matt Hardy made a surprise appearance. When fans last saw Hardy, he was winning the SmackDown tag team titles with his brother Jeff over The Usos. That win was back in April, but the Hardy Boyz were forced to relinquish the titles without one defense, due to a Jeff Hardy injury.

After seven months away from TV, the Hardy that showed up on Monday night was decked out like his Team Xtreme persona. No real Broken or Woken elements really had a chance to pop off in a very brief match versus Buddy Murphy.

Hardy took the loss, and the entire segment really was just used to advance the story between Murphy and Aleister Black.

During his time away from the ring, Hardy teased a little bit of everything. Free agency once his deal was up, freeing the delete, and a reunion with Bray Wyatt, were just a few of Hardy’s ideas.

As a singles wrestler, what do you think WWE will do with Matt Hardy?
