We’re fans of the WWE on Fox Twitter account around these parts. It’s clever, has a realistic view of the product its promoting, yet without getting down in the muck that is a lot of the wrestling conversation on social media.
I’d argue this is a good example of all those things, although since it’s a jab at the finish of Chris Jericho & Cody Rhodes’ AEW World title match at Full Gear, it can’t escape getting some of that muck on itself...

In response to this, a lot of people brought up Owen Hart costing brother Bret the then-WWF World title when he convinced their mother to throw in the towel during the elder Hart’s match with Bob Backlund at Survivor Series in 1994. Or just bringing up other ridiculous WWF-booked moments like the main event of this year’s Hell in a Cell.
But at least the brains behind WWE on Fox (this G. uy) admits what they were doing...
