The credits roll, the camera pans, and in the mist our hero stands. He starts to speak, then folds his hands in prayer. An awkward pause, then what’s my line? There’s nothing left to say this time, and what would you say to a bad guy who’s not there? In terms of Roman numerals, he’s IV league with Roman Polanski. He’d win an Oscar every time if he was only given the chance, but me, I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
Our preshow panel tonight is Jonathan Coachman, Charly Caruso, Booker T, and “A-List” David Otunga. Matches are discussed, Paul Heyman is interviewed, Big Show shills for Angry Birds, it’s a whole... it’s a whole chunk o’ preshow.
Shawn Michaels joins the panel and announces Team NXT as Damian Priest, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa, and WALTER. Adam Cole is then interviewed and talks about how he intends to make an example of Pete Dunne even though they’re on the same brand. Bayley is interviewed and talks about how she’s gonna win.

Battle royal chaos, Forgotten Sons out first, Lucha House Party eliminated second. Imperium out third with Ziggler doing some fancy elimination evasion on the way. Heavy Machinery down fourth, Breezango with some evasion themselves before getting eliminated fifth. Street Profits take the Revival out, that’s six and Roode tries to low bridge Gallows, which leads to Dolph eliminating Gallows and I guess Hawkins and Ryder got taken out earlier because they’re not here anymore and it’s just the Profits and Roode/Ziggler.
Brawling it out, Roode manages to dump Dawkins from behind...

As we slide into hour two, Christian replaces David Otunga on the panel and they do more preshow type stuff.
Akira Tozawa vs. Kalisto vs. Lio Rush (c) (NXT Cruiserweight Championship)
Rush ready for a fight and he ends up inviting Kalisto and Tozawa to beat him down together. Shoving match between the two challengers with the champ on the floor, whip across, Kalisto to the apron, Lio back in, victory roll for two. Off the ropes, Kalisto trips him up and throws him into the barricade! Back in opposite Akira, wipe him out, knucklock overhand chops, springboard lucha arm drag fending Rush off in the process!
Charging in, running knee to Tozawa, handspring caught into a waistlock. Shoved into a boot from the champ, Lio ducking and dodging, right hand staggers Kalisto, slide under, boot up, jockeying for position, Lio takes ‘em both out with a double handspring back elbow! Tozawa Right drops Rush, Lio lands on his feet off a back suplex, handspring kick takes Kalisto out but Akira drops him!
Off the ropes, sliding kick... NOPE! All three men jockeying for position in the corner... LIO WITH A DOUBLE OVERHEAD JAPANESE ARM DRAG OFF THE TOP! Rush laying strikes in on both guys at once, Tozawa ducks an Uraken, snap German suplex... KALISTO BREAKS IT UP AND GOES RIGHT INTO A JACKKNIFE PIN OF HIS OWN FOR TWO! Thinking Salida Del Sol, using Tozawa as a launch point but the Stamina Monster breaks it up with a knee!
Akira drags Lio over, diving senton... KALISTO BREAKS IT UP! He and Tozawa get into a heated strike exchange, Kalisto ducks a lariat, crescent kick, handspring caught into a Geramn suplex but he lands on his feet! Salida Del Sol connects, Rush off the top...
Lio Rush wins by pinfall with Final Hour on Kalisto, retaining the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
Back to the panel, Sami Zayn shows up to yell at Booker T about respecting Shinsuke Nakamura’s artistry. New Day are interviewed backstage and talk about how their gear constitutes a get well card for Xavier Woods and also they’re winning their match, etc.
New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) vs. Undisputed ERA (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
O’Reilly, Ivar, and E to start, three-way jockeying for position, tag to Fish. Double hip toss takes Bobby out, tag back, reDRagon trying to double team it but they get run off in short order and the big men square up. Slugging it out, E ducks a lariat and scoops Warbeard up! Viking slips out, Big leapfrogs him, Ivar returns the favor but E comes off the ropes and drops him with a shoulder!
Kyle capitalizes, blood inthe water, dumping Big to the floor but Warbeard throws him into the corner and makes the tag. Knee lifts, slams, Kingston tags in and gets into the thick of it. Whip into a dropkick, sizing KOR up, right hands in the corner. Tag back to E, snapmare into a Penalty Kick, only two. Leapfrog leg drop, Kofi legal again, still just a two count.
We get some New Day on Vikings action, reDRagon pick the bones, Kofi back body drops Fish to the apron but KOR is right there and they take his legs out from under him! Diving knee drop and O’Reilly locks a heel hook on! Ivar with a Banzai Drop on Bobby and a splash to break the heel hook up! Into the “everybody do something cool” part of the match, Kofi and Kyle trading kicks on the apron!
E off the ropes but KOR sidesteps the spear! Kingston nails him with a roundhouse kick and Fish takes his legs out from under him! Erik scoops Ivar up on the apron and drops Warbeard on all four other men! Back inside, O’Reilly takes Erik’s legs out from under him and tags Bobby in. Fish trading strikes with the Viking, stepover knee drop and a tag to KOR to keep working him over.
Erik exploder suplexes Fish into O’Reilly and the path is clear... tag made! Ivar cleans house on reDRagon, low freight train crossbody to KOR! Stacking ‘em up on opposite corners, charging strikes, spinning powerslam on O’Reilly! E back in, he runs right into a kick from Ivar! Flair Flip, Warbeard starts climbing but nobody’s home on the dive! Tag to Erik, shotgun knees wipe Fish out!
Kyle saves his partner from the Bronco Buster, Kofi springboards back in and lands in Erik’s loving arms! Slip out, boots up, pop-up double stomp and a tag to Big E! Overhead belly-to-belly suplexes for everybody! Shotgun knees from Erik put E in the corner and he climbs up for mounted punches. Kingston tags in, big kick, E lifts Erik up... POWERBOMB / DIVING STOMP COMBO BUT IVAR BREAKS IT UP!
Kofi off the ropes and Big alley oops him to the floor! SPEAR THROUGH THE ROPES TAKES ERIK OUT! Back inside, the Viking gets it together enough for a judo throw and a tag to Ivar. Waistlock, the springboard Hart Attack but Warbeard’s knee is out on him! O’Reilly ducks Trouble in Paradise on the floor and Kingston kicks the post! TOTAL ELIMINATION!
Vikings standing tall and surveying the scene, reDRagon run away and cut Erik off on his return to the ring! Erik with elbows, Ax and Smash, exploder suplex! Ivar fires up off some kicks, double goozle, reDRagon go for the Total Elimination but Warbeard dodges! Handspring double back elbows! Ivar is ready...
Viking Raiders win by pinfall with the Viking Experience on Kyle O’Reilly.

The main show kicks off with a video package talking up the NXT invasion of the last couple weeks.
Team NXT (Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, Io Shirai, Rhea Ripley, & Toni Storm) vs. Team Raw (Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Kairi Sane, Natalya, & Sarah Logan) vs. Team SmackDown (Carmella, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, & Sasha Banks) (Survivor Series Elimination Match)
Storm, Evans, and Logan to start, and Lacey takes both of them out before patting her forhead with her hankie! Double team takes her out in return, whip across, Cross with the blind tag and she comes in with forearms. Toni blocks on and drops her with a lariat, Sarah takes her out in turn! Nikki going for a reverse chinlock, Logan counters and goves for covers all around.
Cross off the ropes, caught by Sarah, Storm behind... DOUBLE GERMAN SUPLEX! Tags to Carmella, Shirai, and Sane! The former Stardom stars face off with Mella unable to get their attention until she shoves Io! The Stardom girls knock her back, Brooke tags in, Shirai with a side headlock, shot off, handspring evasion! Sane pops up, tijeras, off the ropes and she runs into a sliding kick from Io!
Shirai nails her with a dropkick, underhooks, denied and Kairi hits an Alabama Slam only for Dana to break the cover up! Trading pins, whip reversed, Brooke with the handspring back elbow! Headed up top, Dana perches for a senton atoico... SANE KICKS OUT! Evans tags in, double hip toss for two and LeRae tags in for a quick folding press! No good, Lacey gets in her face and Candice kicks her ass with forearms!
Strikes in the corner, uppercut, snapmare when Asuka comes in and she hits the step-up senton after! LeRae charges in, diving tornado reverse STO... NOPE! Tag to Ripley, she knocks Evans off the apron with a dropkick, Asuak picks her off with a flying armbar but Belair makes the save! Natalya with a discus lariat, Cross with a fisherman neckbreaker, Shirai with a dropkick, Flair with a spear!
Candice dropkick, Carmella with the superkick, Storm with a German suplex, Brooke with an enzuigiri, Sara Logan with a swinging facebuster and Banks runs in for a lungblower! Sasha standing tall, Charlotte tags in as referees check on Io and Candice while the rest of Team NXT chill with them and the main roster women look on. Candice and Io are helped to the back and the match resumes.
Candice LeRae and Io Shirai are eliminated due to referee stoppage?
Rhea legal, Belair tags in and squares up on Flair only for Logan to tag in. Cross legal, up and over, shoving Bianca into the corner, sitout neckbreaker on Sarah! Belair dumps her to the apron, Nikki with a shoulder block and a kick before taking Ripley out with a crossbody off the apron! Pulling Storm down, laying forearms in on her, Rhea gets under her with an electric chair and sets her back up on the apron where Belair takes advantage...
Nikki Cross is eliminated by a folding press and legs on the ropes by Bianca Belair.
Mella legal, kicks all around but Bianca gets her up for KOD... Carmella gets herself under the ropes! Taking Logan into the corner, ramming her shoulder in over and over but Sarah comes back with a headbutt and dumps her to the floor before taking the rest of Team NXT out with double knees off the apron! Back inside, Bianca cuts her off with a slam!
Handspring moonsault... NATTIE BREAKS IT UP! Belair keeps her eyes on the prize, knocking Sarah down, headed up top...
Sarah Logan is eliminated by pinfall with a 450 splash by Bianca Belair.
Flair comes in and she wants Bianca! Belair with a waistlock, Charlotte breaks with a back elbow, whip to the corner, elbow up on the charge but she gets a lariat after! Carmella legal, schoolboy pin for two, kick combos, back body drop sets the Princess of Staten Island on the apron and Flair blasts her off with a boot! Folding press from Belair nearly does it!
Charlotte gets the STO backbreaker on the EST and follows it up with a boot! Jockeying for position in the corner, Carmella sits up for mounted punches and snaps off a Frankensteiner that puts Flair into Belair! Repeated covers, Mella working Bianca’s hair and laying her out with kicks, the Queen snaps one off...
Carmella is eliminated by pinfall with Natural Selection by Charlotte Flair.
Banks, Storm, and Sane legal, Toni decks Sasha with an elbow and Kairi with a headbutt! Sane with the Uraken, headed up top, diving elbow but Banks breaks it up...

Asuka in, cleaning house, Alarm Clock takes Sasha out! Bulldog / lariat, she’s fired up! Dana Brooke runs into her...

Asuka gets into a shoving match with Flair after being tagged out and the Queen decks her! She blocks Evans’ punch and lays chops in! Explode suplex into a strut... AND ASUKA SPITS THE GREEN MIST IN CHARLOTTE’S FACE! Screaming, trying to wipe her eyes, Asuka walks out! Lacey capitalizes...

Storm beating on both remaining main roster women, underhooks denied, Neidhart gets the Sharpshooter on in the middle of the ring and the Boss adds the Bank Statement crossface...

Down to Banks and Ripley, they jaw at each other and Rhea uncorks right hands on her! Back suplex facebuster, off the ropes, big dropkick gets a two count! Off the ropes, Banks with a tilt-a-whirl but Rhea cuts her short and hosses her up! Sasha reverses into a sleeper hold and Ripley backs her into the corner before slinging her off her back! Banks with a drop toehold into the turnbuckles, corner knees and then repeated knee strikes!
Sasha perches up top and lies in wait... METEORA! NO GOOD! The Boss up top and she dives into a boot! Rhea covers her for two, leg pick, stomps to the midsection and she locks the standing inverted cloverleaf on! Banks reverses into an arm-trap crossface and then switches sides... HERE COME IO AND CANDICE! THEY’RE BACK! They pull Ripley to safety! Banks off the ropes, baseball slide takes the NXT women out!
Rhea rams Sasha into the barricade and then the apron, taking her back inside, pumphandle denied and Banks knocks the taste out of her mouth! Shirai and LeRae running interference, Ripley gets her up...
Team NXT wins, last eliminating Sasha Banks by pinfall with the Riptide from Rhea Ripley.
We get a recap of last night’s TakeOver, followed by Seth Rollins confronting Kevin Owens in the locker room over Owens putting himself on the line last night.
He asks KO where his loyalty lies, and he says last night was about getting even with Undisputed ERA, and he’ll admit that he loves NXT, but NXT doesn’t need him the way Raw needs him. So don’t worry, tonight he’s Team Raw, but Rollins questioning his loyalty given his own history with the Shield, well...
AJ Styles vs. Roderick Strong vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Circling, Nakamura starts beating Strong down with knees! Same for Styles, Roddy off the ropes and Shinsuke clocks him with a knee to the midsection! Knee lift, kicks, boot to the face and AJ cuts him off by ramming him into the corner. Dropkick to Roddy and the Phenomenal One is fired up! Strong picks him out of the corner and into a backbreaker! Dropkick on the button takes Nakamura out!
Chop, backbreaker, slingshot dropkick drops Shinsuke again. Styles blocks a backbreaker on the apron and hits a hard knee to the NXT man! Back inside, Nakamura cuts AJ off, falling knees in the middle of the ring, drawing him up and choking him in the corner with those Good Vibrations! Back to Roddy, straight suplex over the ropes! Snapmare into a knee drop on Styles!
Setting him up in the corner for the big running knee, fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster from Strong cuts the Intercontinental Champion off! Roddy with chops, back to back backbreaker hold but Styles cuts him off with a sleeper hold! Strong flagging but not failing, back to his feet and AJ throws him into Shinsuke before grabbing the sleeper again.
Shifting to a reverse chinlock, Roddy breaks out, strikes on both guys, neckbreaker drop takes Styles out! Jumping knee, duck a roundhouse, capture backbreaker for Nakamura! Off the ropes with repeated forearms to the United States Champion and a back suplex facebuster... NOPE! AJ fighting badck into it with chops and forearms, Strong blocks the moonsault inverted DDT, monkey flip, land on his feet but Shinsuke nails him with Kinshasa... STILL NO!
Sliding Kinshasa to Strong... STYLES BREAKS IT UP! Nakamura off hte ropes, AJ scoops him up into an inverted DDT for two! Shinsuke charges in and blocks the Calf Killer only to get Ushigoroshi’d for a nearfall! Going for the Styles Clash, Roddy with a Sick Kick from behind wipes both of ‘em out and Sami Zayn saves his man! Strong cuks a lariat, Olympic Slam, roll through, underhooks... GIBSON DRIVER ISN’T ENOUGH TO PUT AJ STYLES AWAY!
Roddy puts Styles in the corner, chops and boots, jockeying for position, Nakamura comes over and joins them, AJ slips under, electric chair and Shinsuke completes it with a kick! Strong’s knee giving him trouble, he’s helpless but Styles breaks Nakamura’s pin up! Zayn takes AJ out, Roddy hits the jumping knee for two! Shinsuke nails him and lines him up... AJ STYLES CUTS HIM OFF WITH THE PHENOMENAL FOREARM!
Roddy in with an elbow, Shinsuke throwing superkicks, Strong lays him out but takes the Styles Rush on the jaw! Nakamura with a lungblower on Styles, inverted exploder drops Roddy’s knee across AJ’s face! Shinsuke has him in position, Kinshasa... AJ BREAKS IT UP! Styles waiting for Nakamura to rise, they square up and start trading forearms with abandon!
Shinsuke with a kick, waistlock, back elbow breaks Styles free and he hits Nakamura with the Pele kick! Diving knee coneects, fireman’s carry... LANDSLIDE! AJ catches him, thinking Styles Clash but Shinsuke slips out! To the apron, line him up, springboard, Phenomenal Forearm but Roddy cuts him off...
Roderick Strong wins by pinfall with a lateral press on Shinsuke Nakamura.
Backstage, Miz rolls up on Daniel Bryan to talk about how they don’t like each other but the Fiend is pure evil and for their sake and their kids’ sake, Bryan needs to put a stop to Bray Wyatt. The American Dragon tells him to get out and resumes shadowboxing.
Adam Cole (c) vs. Pete Dunne (NXT Championship)
Circling, collar and elbow, Dunne takes him down into a wristlock and works the fingers! Cole reverses to a wristlock of his own, Pete rolls through, Adam grabs a side headlock. Shot off, drop down, leapfrog, drop down, lariat wipes the champion out! Back to wrenching the fingers, folding his palm flat... AND STOMPING THE BICEP! Action to the floor, Dunne remains in control and wedges Cole’s hand atop the steps before stomping the elbow!
Pete to the second, Adam hits a dropkick to the Bruiserweight’s bum knee but lands on his own injured hand in the process! Stomps to the knee when he recovers, following it up with a neckbreaker. Leg pick, kick, shoulder kneebar applied and a stomp to break when Dunne proves too hard to hold down! Dropkick to the knee, Pete with an X-Plex but he can’t capitalize because his knee is shot!
Trading punches, backflip up and over, enzuigiri connects! German suplex follows, Dunne running hot, stomp the fingers, buzzsaw roundhouse, draw him up... SITOUT POWERBOMB FOR TWO! Action to the floor, Pete hits an Orihara moonsault! Back inside, another buzzsaw, lining him up, perching, diving moonsault... KNEES UP! Cole hits Last Shot... STILL NO!
Dunne drops him with a lariat but Bitter End gets reversed into the brainbuster over the knee! Off the ropes, Last Shot ducked, Pete grabs an armbar but he can pop Adam’s arm back! Cole reverses to a pin, Dunne with a pumphandle... BITTER END CAN’T KEEP ADAM COLE DOWN FOR A THREE COUNT! Pete hammering him with forearms, they trade kicks, backflip up and over... CUT OFF MID-FLIP WITH A SUPERKICK! ONLY A NEARFALL!
Cole perches up top... AND DIVES INTO A FOREARM TO THE JAW! X-PLEX INTO A PIN ISN’T ENOUGH! To the apron, Adam cuts him off with a kick again, back inside to break the count, on the apron, fireman’s carry but Cole’s back gives out! Dunne’s knee gives out on him! Adam up on the second... PANAMA SUNRISE ON THE APRON! Back inside at the count of seven, Pete slower to rise... BUT HE BEATS THE COUNT!
Adam nails him with a superkick... STILL NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP THE BRUISERWEIGHT ON HIS BACK! Pete grabs his hand... AND WISHBONES THE FINGERS! BITTER END REVERSED INTO A FLIP PILEDRIVER! Off the ropes...
Adam Cole wins by pinfall with the Last Shot to retain the NXT Championship.
We get a video package hyping up WWE’s partnership with UNICEF.
Backstage, King Baron Corbin is trying to govern his team but it ain’t working.
Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (WWE Universal Championship)
Bryan charging in out the gates, running dropkicks, but Wyatt takes his head off with a lariat! Big right hand, headbutt in the ropes, off the ropes and into a headbutt! Dan to the floor, Bray follows after and rams him into the barricade before whipping him hard into the post! High jump senton follows, screaming at Bryan on the floor! Back inside, Wyatt plants him with a Rock Bottom!
Release suplex, standing neck crank and a twist! Bryan to the floor, trying to regroup, Wyatt follows with a big slicing right and Bryan sidesteps him into the steel steps! Back inside, getting his bearings, the American Dragon off the ropes with a suicide dive! He reverses out of Sister Abigail and puts the Fiend into the post! Diving knee off the apron, back inside again after!
Headed up top... DIVING KNEE OFF THE TOP ROPE! Back inside, missile dropkick keeps the pressure on Wyatt and Dan kips up! Chest kicks in the ring, buzzsaw connects but Wyatt straightens right back up! More chest kicks, the Fiend wants yet more and the American Dragon gives him them! Wristlocks applied... YOU’RE GONNA GET YOUR [REDACTED] HEAD KICKED IN! Yes! fingers in the corner... BUSAIKU KNEE IS ONLY GOOD FOR TWO!
Wyatt rises up, Bryan turns and throws punches but gets shoved down. Knee in the corner, Bray charges in and locks the Mandible Claw on... REVERSED INTO A CROSS ARMBAR IN THE ROPES! HE HAS UNTIL FIVE, REFEREE! Bryan perches up top... BUT DIVES INTO A THROAT THRUST! SISTER ABIGAIL REVERSED INTO A SCHOOLBOY FOR TWO! Charging in... WYATT GETS THE MANDIBLE CLAW AGAIN!

He tells us he’s a new Rey Mysterio and he’s gonna do things to Brock Lesnar that the old him wouldn’t approve of, and he wants Dominick to watch him very closely as he takes Brock’s legs out.
