NXT has put a bow around its TakeOver: WarGames live event from Rosemont, Illinois’ Allstate Arena as the promotion wrapped up the show tonight (Sat., Nov. 23, 2019) with Tommaso Ciampa pinning Adam Cole in the main event. After the mother of all Air Raid Crashes to Adam Cole. From 20 feet up. Through two tables.
Was it the best match on the card?
The show started with another WarGames match that featured a less spectacular finish but some great character development for Rhea Ripley and Dakota Kai. In between, Pete Dunne earned himself an NXT title shot when he pinned Damien Priest (after Killian Dain sentoned him onto Priest to break the sleeper Dunne had him in). Finn Bálor also made a statement when he beat Matt Riddle in his first match back in NXT in four years.
