Drove downtown in the rain nine-thirty on a Tuesday night, just to check out the late-night record shop. Call it impulsive, call it compulsive, call it insane; but when I’m surrounded I just can’t stop. It’s a matter of instinct, it’s a matter of conditioning, it’s a matter of fact. You can call me Pavlov’s dog; Ring a bell and I’ll salivate- how’d you like that? Dr. Landy tell me you’re not just a pedagogue, cause right now I’m liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for these folks.
Angel Garza vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
I come in late because I was busy making a celebratory name change weekend dinner for my girlfriend and I and I didn’t realize a pre-show match was added but...
Angel Garza wins by pinfall with the Wing Clipper.
The pre-show panel discusses NXT’s partnership with The Kraken and we go backstage where Mia Yim is being loaded into an ambulance and Dakota Kai is nominated by Rhea Ripley to replace her in WarGames.
This segues into a discussion of the men’s WarGames match and who Tommaso Ciampa’s fourth man is.
The main show opens with a video package hyping up the show.
Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, & Shayna Baszler vs. Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, & Tegan Nox (WarGames Match)
Shirai and LeRae to start, Frye/Takayama punches and they take it to the mat against each other! Candice with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors but Io lands on her feet! My connection goes out for a minute and when it comes back up Shirai is well in control with about two minutes left on the timer. Scraping LeRae’s face into the cage walls, choking her in the corner but Candice gets some separation off a jawbreaker!
Io back in with a straight suplex, more choking, the countdown timer ticks...
Bianca Belair is out third!
Belair comes in hot but LeRae manages to snap off a Poison Frankensteiner to get her in the corner! Stacking her and Shirai up, Violence Party, Candice charges in with a back elbow but Bianca dodges it and clocks her with a hard forearm and then a kneeling powerbomb! A second powerbomb, and then a third into the cage wall and the EST is fired up!
Putting boots to her, camel clutch applied, Io off the ropes again and again to build up steam... SLIDING KNEE! Throwing LeRae into the corner, the countdown timer ticks...
Rhea Ripley is out fourth!
She throws a trash can into the ring and slams the door on Bianca’s face! A second trash can, a couple kendo sticks, a couple steel chairs before finally entering... BACK SUPLEX FACEBUSTER PUTS BELAIR INTO A TRASH CAN! Smashing her face into the mat, Candice recovers and they start double-teams briefly until Shirai returns and we got a brawl! The countdown timer ticks...
Kay Lee Ray is out fifth!
KLR introduces some plunder of her own, a couple chairs, she looks for a table but thinks better of it and comes in swinging chairs on everybody! Tornado DDT puts Ripley into a chair! The heels looking to take Rhea out through chairs, babyfaces get Belair isolated instead, jockeying for position, Ray takes the hardcore contraption apart, into the corner, Ripley under everybody... TOWER OF DOOM INTO A PILE OF CHAIRS! BIANCA BELAIR 450 SPLASH TO FOLLOW IT UP!
The countdown timer ticks...
Dakota Kai is out sixth... AND SHE LAYS TEGAN NOX OUT WITH A BOOT!
She slams Nox into the shark cage walls a few times and pulls her shoulder-first into the steel before slamming the door on her injured knee repeatedly! William Regal tries to break it up and Kai shoves him! Shayna Baszler is laughing alone in the heels’ cage! DAKOTA KAI COMES BACK FOR MORE! Referees and Regal back her off as Rhea Ripley paces, frustrated, and the countdown timer ticks...
Shayna Baszler is out seventh.
She turns around and checks on Nox briefly before taking her time making it to the ring. Baszler and Ripley get into it but the heels have the numbers advantage and Rhea finds herself down and out. Commentary informs us that we are officially in the Match Beyond now! Shayna steps on Ripley’s hand and applies handcuffs to her wrist but LeRae breaks it up before she can actually handcuff her to the ropes!
Babyface fire, Candice with a trash can lid and just wailing on everybody! Ripley blocks a DDT from KLR and suplexes her into the cage wall! Ripley hanging Shirai up in the corner with the cloverleaf! Baszler returns the favor with the Kirifuda Clutch on LeRae but Candice slips out and KRL breaks the cloverleaf up! Iconoclasm into a quebrada from LeRae... BELAIR BREAKS IT UP!
MILITARY PRESS THROWS CANDICE INTO RHEA! Kay Lee with the Gory Bomb, Shirai hits the moonsault... AND RIPLEY BREAKS IT UP! Bianca with the hair whips on Rhea... AND LERAE LIGHTS HER UP WITH A KENDO STICK FOR HER TROUBLE! Io ducks a shot underhooks... backbreaker! Shirai headed up top, scaling the cage, Candice follows not far behind... AVALANCHE POISON FRANKENSTEINER BUT BELAIR BREAKS THE PIN UP!
Io still up top, Bianca with the KOD but LeRae holds onto her hair to break it up... AND IO SHIRAI MOONSAULTS OFF THE CAGE ONTO CANDICE! Ripley nailing Shayna with chairshots across the back, opening it up, setting another chair next to it and a trash can on both for some hardcore feng shui, KLR running interference and she gets nailed by a trash can! Kirifuda Clutch applied on Ripley!
Rhea struggling, trying to break the Queen of Spades’ grip... AND SHE CUFFS HERSELF TO BASZLER! CHEST KICKS GET A LEG KICK, DUCK A ROUNDHOUSE, PUMPHANDLE SLAM... IT’S OVER!
Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, & Tegan Nox win by pinfall with a pumphandle slam through chairs from Ripley on Shayna Baszler.
We check in on Matt Riddle and Finn Balor as they get ready for their match tonight.

Damian Priest vs. Killian Dain vs. Pete Dunne (NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
I had to restart my internet and the very opening beats elude me but Priest decks Dunne with a right hand! Dain up on the apron, Damian nails him, Pete charges in, backflip and over countered with an attempt at a crucifix powerbomb but Killian lays him out and hits a Michinoku Driver that drops Dunne on Priest! Covers come up empty, action goes to the floor and Dain hits a fallaway slam and a Samoan drop at the same time!
Back inside, Killian and Pete brawl it out, whip to the corner, backflip up and over, jockeying for position, Priest back in and Dunne lands on his feet off a German suplex! Stomping Dain’s feet, roundhouse kick, cross armbar on Damian! Dain reaches in, Pete works his fingers but this gives Priest a chance to powerbomb him! Big men brawling it out, and Pete comes back in with lariats for everybody!
Three-way brawl, Damian with a rolling elbow, Dunne hits a Busaiku knee, he’s in control... STOMP BOTH GUYS HANDS! Damian boxes Dain’s ears and Pete hits an enzuigiri, all three men go for strikes at the same time and they’re down and out! Dunne with Kawada kicks while Priest goes up top... SOMERSAULT LEG DROP TAKES BOTH GUYS OUT! FALCON ARROW, SOUTH OF HEAVEN... NOPE!
Damian’s got Pete on the floor... RAZOR’S EDGE INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! DAIN WITH A BIG MAN SUICIDE DIVE! KILLIAN FOLLOWS IT UP WITH A CANNONBALL SENTON THROUGH THE TIMEKEEPER’S BARRICADE! Back inside, Killian thinking Vader Bomb but Damian cuts him off, jockeying for position on the apron... RAZOR’S EDGE IN THE RING BUT DUNNE IS ALIVE AND BREAKS IT UP!
Dunne with the Danielson double wrist stomps, charging forearm, Damian fires back, off the ropes, a dive wipes Dain out and Pete hits an Orihara moonsault to conclude the exchange! Back inside, Dunne and Priest back and forth, chokelift, float into a cross armbar... SLIDING KICK FROM KILLIAN TO BREAK IT UP! Dain sets Dunne up in the Tree of Woe, throws Damian into him... CANNONBALL! VADER BOMB FOR TWO!
Dunne hits a moonsault, pumphandle, Bitter End... PRIEST BREAKS IT UP WITH A KICK! Damian sets Pete up top and kicks him, climb to meet him... A FRANKENSTEINER PUTS DUNNE INTO DAIN! Kicks for everybody, inverted facelock, the Reckoning connects... and Killian breaks it up by falling into them! Dain kicks Priest off the apron, headed up top, Pete cuts him off and climbs to meet him.
All three men up in the corner, and Dunne breaks Priest’s fingers! He superplexes Dain and goes over to Priest, Bitter End... Killian breaks it up with a senton! Dain drops Pete onto Priest...
Pete Dunne wins by pinfall on Damian Priest to become #1 contender to the NXT Championship.
Finn Balor vs. Matt Riddle
Riddle goes for a leg pick, lifts Balor up but he’s in the safety of the ropes. Matt goes for a cross armbar but again Finn slips out. Circling, Finn with a side headlock, Riddle reverses to a headscissors but Balor snaps him right back to the headlock. Deep Waters with the rolling Karelin lifts! Balor fires a dropkick back off, cover for two and right into a reverse chinlock!
Putting boots to Riddle in the corner, hesitation dropkick and then back to the side headlock. Dumped to the floor, Finn goes out after, hammering him repeatedly! Back instead, stomps to the head, but Riddle fires up with palm strikes! Roundhouse kick, corner forearm, exploder suplex, Penalty Kick and the high jump senton... SO CLOSE!
Boot up in the corner, whip reversed, flying forearm from Balor. Sling Blade blocked, Matt with a roundhouse kick and then he catches the Pele into an ankle lock! Hanging on, switching legs, stomp to the small of the back! Finn gets the ropes to force the break, King of Bros with a waistlock, Balor fighting hard to stop the German! Into the ropes, leg goes out from under him, off the ropes... Balor hits a dropkick!
German suplex from Finn but Matt lands on his feet! Hard knee, German suplex into the bridge, only two! Wrist clutch, ripcord knee strikes connects, powerbomb lift but Balor lands on his feet and hits the double stomp! Sling Blade connects! Riddle nails Finn with a spear! Standing tall, front chancery... JACKHAMMER FOR TWO! Thinking Tombstone piledriver, Balor fighting him, inverted headlock elbow drop counters!
Inverted 1916 connects... STILL NO! Finn putting boots to him, thinking 1916, reversed... BRO 2 SLEEP! Riddle heads up top... CORKSCREW MOONSAULT BUT THE KNEES ARE UP! SHOTGUN DROPKICK CONNECTS! Balor up top... NOBODY HOME ON THE COUP DE GRACE AND THE BROMISSION IS LOCKED IN! Rolling around, hammer fists to the chest but Finn rolls out! Matt hits an upkick, draws him up, reversed...

MonSTARS (Dominik Dijakovic & Keith Lee), Tommaso Ciampa, & ??? vs. Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick Strong) (WarGames Match)
Ciampa and Strong to start, Tom offers Roddy his crutch but he throws it out of the ring! Ciampa blocks a punch and fires his own back, whip across, front kick from Tom, right hands, whip out of the corner reversed, shove off, the Sicilian Psychopath decks him with right hand after right hand! Sidestep a boot, backbreaker connects, right hands, gourdbuster puts Roddy on the ropes and then a kick lays him out!
Mounted punches in the corner, hammering away! Off the ropes, running knee! Strong with mounted punches of his own but Tom slips out and sets him up for a Cheeky Nando’s style knee strike! Whip across, Roddy hangs himself up on the ropes but Ciampa cuts him off, front chancery, back body drop into the gap between the rings. Trading chops and forearms, thinking Fairytale Ending but Strong jockeys for position and hits a fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster!
Laying punches in, the countdown timer ticks...
Kyle O’Reilly is out third!
Undisputed absolutely mugging Ciampa, trapping him in the ropes for repeated running forearms from Strong after a bit! Rock Bottom backbreaker, hold on, diving knee! The countdown timer ticks...
Dominik Dijakovic is out fourth!
Dijak hammering KOR, laying him out with a lariat... AND RELEASE SUPLEXING HIM INTO RODDY! Argentine backbreaker rack, Strong slips out, chop but the big man shrugs if off and throws him into the cage wall over and over! Kyle rushes in, guillotine choke applied but Tall Dom gets him into a World’s Strongest Slam clutch before spinning him out into the cage walls!
Ciampa wakes back up, babyfaces keeping the heels in check with strikes, the countdown timer ticks...
Bobby Fish is out fifth!
Fish right in after Ciampa, kicks against the ropes, duck a lariat from Dijak, leg kicks, forearms, chops, cutting the big man down! reDRagon have Tall Dom where they want him and hit the Total Elimination! Roddy with a butterfly backbreaker on Ciampa... CHASING THE DRAGON! Staying focused on Dijak, charging forearms and knees, Undisputed in control and jawing at Keith Lee in the shark cage!

Keith Lee is out sixth!
Lee in hot with forearms for everybody, big double chops, leapfrog reDRagon and wipe them out with a double crossbody! Charging in, back body drop to the grate between rings, slingshot shoulder block! Drawing Fish up, he slips out, O’Reilly goes under, thinking Spirit Bomb on Roddy but Undisputed get him away and Strong hits the Sick Kick! Wailing on the Limitless One, Ciampa wakes up and makes the save!
Tall Dom back in the fray as well, Fish tries to choke Lee out as the countdown timer ticks...
Adam Cole is out seventh.
Cole gets a table on his way to the ring and leans it against the barricade! Sliding more tables into the ring, Ciampa meets him on the steps... AND SHOVES ADAM INTO THE TABLE HE LEANED! Tom follows out after him and beats him some more before returning to the ring with him. Babyfaces with the advantage despite the numbers, stalking after Undisputed, and we’ve got a brawl!
Lee with a fireamn’s carry... AND FISH HITS HIM IN THE GENTLEMAN’S AREA! The countdown timer ticks, Undisputed confident there’s no fourth man...
KEVIN OWENS IS THE LAST ENTRANT!
Owens comes in hot clubbing away at everybody! Pop-up powerbomb on Fish! STEENBREAKER ON KYLE O’REILLY! SLEEPER SUPLEX! HE POWERBOMBS FISH INTO O’REILLY! Cole squares up, crotch chop, kick to the gut... STUNNER ALMOST DOES IT HERE AND NOW! MonSTARS have Roddy... AND THEY THROW HIM INTO HIS TEAMMATES! KO up on the second rope, rattling the cage, and Tom starts setting up a table before cutting Kyle off with a hanging DDT.
Dijak sets a table up of his own and all three tables are now set up in the ring. Brawling continues, Lee climbs up top... DIVING CROSSBODY INTO THE CRUSH! O’Reilly dives onto Keith and grabs a heel hook! Lee gets the ropes, no break, dragging himself over for better leverage... TALL DOM MAKES THE SAVE WITH A QUEBRADA! FISH DIVES ON HIM TO BREAK THE COVER! FAIRYTALE ENDING! KEVIN OWENS SENTON ATOMICO BUT COLE BREAKS IT UP WITH A SUPERKICK!
Superkick to Kev, Adam heads to the second, lining Lee up but he gets a headbutt for his trouble. Keith climbs to join him but Strong cuts him off, hammering his hamstrings... AVALANCHE OLYMPIC SLAM! AX AND SMASH! STILL NO! Total Elimination, Owens back body drops Roddy into the steel and throws KOR in after! Kev in the gutter with Cole... Adam dodges the package piledriver... PANAMA SUNRISE!
reDRagon join up a pair of tables but Tom shows up to ruin their day. Powerbomb lift... PROJECT CIAMPA ON KYLE! Running knees for Fish and Strong! COLE CUTS HIM OFF WITH A SUPERKICK! But Tom gets him caught between ropes and cage and hammers Cole with knee after knee! Ciampa and Cole in the corner, jockeying for position, Adam ends up climbing up top while Bobby and Roddy crowd Lee in the corner... DIJAK CHOKESLAMS RODDY THROUGH A TABLE!
Chokelift for KOR but Kyle reverses to a triangle choke... TALL DOM DEADLIFTS HIM TO VERTICAL! Kyle fighting back, Dijak sets him atop a table, KO climbs... FROG SPLASH THROUGH THE TABLE! Ciampa is up with Cole now, Keith gets under Fish... AVALANCHE SPIRIT BOMB! Tom and Adam jockeying for position atop the cage wall... AIR RAID CRASH OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE AND THROUGH A PAIR OF TABLES! IT’S OVER!
Kevin Owens, MonSTARS (Dominik Dijakovic & Keith Lee), & Tommaso Ciampa win by pinfall with an avalanche Air Raid Crash off the top of the cage and through tables from Ciampa on Adam Cole.
Post-match, Lee helps Ciampa to his feet.
