This TakeOver week has been a lot different from most, since NXT stars not only have matches on their own WWE Network on Saturday, but also have a big role to play Sunday on PPV.
But we still got a Triple H conference call, and the black-and-gold brand’s leader dropped some information - and a lot of teases - for what to expect from NXT over the rest of the week:
- Regarding the door Triple H left open for Raw and SmackDown stars to come to tonight’s show at Full Sail, he said there will be “big names people won’t expect” on the Nov. 20 episode of NXT.
- We probably won’t learn the identity of the fourth member of Tommaso Ciampa’s WarGames team until Saturday.
- Johnny Gargano is “day-to-day”. Trips & Gargano are “gutted” he’s injured missing a TakeOver, and that he won’t be able to work with Finn Bálor in Chicagoland this weekend.
- Haitch has “zero interest” in wrestling with Team NXT at Survivor Series on Sunday (as was rumored). He wants the focus on the NXT roster.
Seems like good news all around, depending on how you feel about The Battle For Brand Supremacy™ and MYSTERY PARTNERS. Even the update on Johnny’s injury is about as good as we could have expected.
