WWE’s newest brand announced their next live Network special while taping in Hull, England over the weekend, and the company confirmed NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II itself a short time after word started to spread.
BREAKING NEWS: #NXTUKTakeOver: Blackpool II will air live around the world on the @WWENetwork from Blackpool’s @WGEmpress as @NXTUK returns ONCE AGAIN on January 12!

So what will we get when the show returns to the venue where Triple H’s UK vision first started to take shape with the United Kingdom Championship Tournament back in 2017, and where the brand held its first TakeOver in January of this year?
Spoilers ahead, lads and lasses...
- Joe Coffey vs. WALTER (c) for the WWE United Kingdom championship
This feud goes back to Big Daddy’s debut at TakaOver: Blackpool when WALTER took out Coffey after he lost to Pete Dunne. While not officially announced, the champ said it would be the main event if two other things happened at the taping - Gallus beating Imperium and Ilja Dragonuv beating Alexander Wolfe. The latter did happen, but the first one was crashed by the other two teams setting up...
- Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) (c) vs. Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) vs. South Wales Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) in a ladder match for the NXT UK Tag Team titles
- Piper Niven vs. Kay Lee Ray (c) vs. Toni Storm for the NXT UK Women’s championship
Storm returned and said her loss to Ray sent her to a “dark place” which is why she took time off. She asked Piper to stand aside and let her have a one-on-one rematch, and got a headbutt in response.
- Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis
Seven called Dennis out for an attacking his scheduled opponent earlier, so Eddie jumped him and said “see you at Takeover”
It also looks like we might get Tyler Bate vs. Jordan Devlin, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part.
