PWInsider reports Jeff Hardy was arrested last night (Thurs., Oct. 3) in Moore County, North Carolina and charged with driving while impaired.

The Moore County Police Department confirmed to the site that Hardy was released around 11:30PM. Officials declined to provide additional information except to confirm the charge, stating it was an ongoing investigation.

Hardy has been out of action since April due to a leg injury. Before knee surgery in May, he said the timetable for his return was 6 - 9 months.

He was arrested for public intoxication in July of this year, and for another DWI incident in March of 2018. Jeff has a history of substance abuse which includes two Wellness Policy violations during 2006 - 2009 runs with the company, and an infamous on-camera incident in TNA where he appeared to be intoxicated when he showed up for match against Sting in the main event of the Victory Road 2011 pay-per-view (PPV). His struggle with addiction was covered in WWE Network’s 2018 documentary, WWE 24 - The Hardys: Woken.

Neither Hardy nor WWE has commented as of this writing.

UPDATE: WWE has commented with their usual statement regarding matters such as this...

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
