WWE CROWN JEWEL LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE
Hey folks.
No lyrics today. As has become standard practice for me with these shows, I’m going to use my platform here to express my unhappiness with WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia. More specifically, owing to my nature as a queer trans woman, Saudi Arabia is, uh... not very friendly to people like me, and so seeing WWE act as a propaganda arm for this regime really sucks sometimes.
But as always, I refuse to sit back and leave my colleagues here at Cageside Seats, who have played such a huge part in making me feel comfortable to be out and proud as the woman I am, high and dry, so I’m liveblogging the show.
And, inspired by a trend that’s going around trans Twitter as we speak, I want to take a moment to remind those of you reading who are in the position I was two or three years ago, feeling alone and afraid, unsure of yourself and terrified of making the wrong decision, that if you want to be a girl, you can be a girl. (Or a boy, or nonbinary, or agender, or whatever other options I’m not thinking of here, of course.)
It’s not always easy, but it’s been worth it. On with the show!
