Of course Conor McGregor would say that.
On a PR goodwill tour, the biggest UFC star in the game has made separate press conference stops in Ukraine and Russia this week. Today (Oct. 24) the former UFC lightweight champion announced he will return to the cage on Jan. 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor had an opponent lined up but said he didn’t want to say it publicly in fear the UFC would switch it on him. Being one of the most recognizable names in all of sports, McGregor’s comeback has everyone abuzz, but he did find time during his press tour to namedrop the WWE.
When asked about future after his UFC career is over, McGregor brought up pro wrestling for the first time in a while.

Ronda Rousey, Cain Velasquez, Tyson Fury, and at the right price it feels like bringing in McGregor would be a very WWE thing to do.

On some days McGregor has two simple words for the promotion. Then again, McGregor’s fascination with all things WWE, and beefs with Sheamus, date all the way back to 2014.
