Last night at a WWE house show in Sydney, Australia, Xavier Woods suffered an apparent lower leg injury.
Reports from fans in attendance have poured in about the nature of Wood’s injury. During a tag team match between The New Day versus The Revival, Woods dropped to the mat after running the ropes. The referee went to check on Woods and the match was called off on the spot.
It appears Xavier Woods injures his leg in the opener. New Day and The Revival were having a super fun match prior to that. #WWESydney pic.twitter.com/io22kj05Ok

Woods and his New Day teammates were scheduled to compete at Crown Jewel at the end of the month. Alongside The Viking Raiders, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, The Revival, The O.C., Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, and The B-Team, New Day were booked in the “largest Tag Team Turmoil Match in history” to crown the best tag team in the world.
WWE has yet to comment on Woods’ injury, so there is still hope that maybe it’s just a strain rather than a more serious Achilles injury.
Update 12:51 PM ET: WWE.com doesn’t give us much, but they confirm the injury and add they will report more details when they become available.
“Xavier Woods suffered an Achilles injury, WWE.com has learned.
Woods sustained the injury at a WWE Live Event in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday night and will be unable to finish WWE’s Australian tour.”
