While the heat on WWE for going into Saudi Arabia and running shows featuring paid propaganda has certainly died down from the level it was at, in part because the company has toned down said propaganda in a major way, there is still a great deal of discomfort surrounding each event. Some wrestlers, like Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan, have outright refused to work the shows.
In the case of Ali, it was announced he would be working the show just last night:
A real American...and Hulk Hogan. I’ve been added to Team Hogan on 10/31 at Crown Jewel. pic.twitter.com/nXaLO5zCjz— ALI / Adeel Alam (@AliWWE) October 19, 2019
Then, just today, he revealed this:
To clarify some reports, my earnings from the 10/31 event will be donated to @charitywater.— ALI / Adeel Alam (@AliWWE) October 19, 2019
That 10/31 event would be Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
