We got to see the new Bayley up close and personal on Friday Night SmackDown this week and that meant learning what drove her decision to turn heel and change her look. The long and short of it?
She was there for everyone else but when she needed it most, everyone else wasn’t there for her. Also, the women’s division is lazy and has no passion.
What’s unfortunate here, in its own way, was that The Miz, who was conducting the interview as part of an episode of Miz TV, came across so well as the actual star in the ring. Bayley still isn’t quite there with her promos, but this was a big step in the right direction.
Mostly because she dropped a line Vince McMahon once gleefully delivered many years ago:
“Life sucks, and then you die.”
