WWE’s new strategy might be to release a bunch of news every Thursday right around when the Wednesday cable ratings come out.
That’s just a suspicion I have though. What we can now confirm is that the report Seth Rollins falls count anywhere rematch with Bray Wyatt would be the only bout the Universal champion will work at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thurs., Oct. 31 was correct. In the above WWE Now video, McKenzie Mitchell announces Rollins has been pulled from the five-on-five Team Hulk Hogan vs. Team Ric Flair match.
No word on his replacement, but we can expect that to come on television soon, along with the identities of the rest of Hogan & Flair’s squads.
Mitchell also reveals that AOP have “signed” with Raw. Akam & Rezar were among the last talents not assigned to either brand after the Draft, but there are still a handful of others (Matt Hardy, The Usos, Naomi, The Ascension, The Colons). We’ll see when/if WWE gets around to addressing the remaining names.
Last but not least, the already announced Roman Reigns vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Intercontinental title match will kick off SmackDown tomorrow night (Fri., Oct. 18).
So there you go.
We’re still gonna get to the ratings, though.
