Born from the dark, in the black cloak of night to envelop its prey below, deliver to the light. To eliminate your enemy, hit them in their sleep, and when all is won and lost, the spoils of wars are yours to keep, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a recap of the recent Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt.
Thence into the intro video.
Becky Lynch makes her entrance.
She says Sasha Banks couldn’t make it tonight because of the last beating she handed out, but she can’t seem to get rid of the woman she’s fighting tonight.
Enter Charlotte Flair.
She says she doesn’t want this any more than Becky does and she doesn’t want us thinking she’s selfish, because she’s not. She doesn’t even want to fight tonight, she just wants to be friends again. She misses her and just wants to be her friend-- AND SHE LAYS BECKY OUT WITH A RIGHT HAND! She says Lynch makes it so damn hard to be her friend and we got a brawl!
Fighting into the corner, referees come down to separate them and we go to break.
Becky Lynch (Raw) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown) (WWE Draft #1 Pick Deciding Match)
Lynch right in with forearms, Flair turns her around and returns the favor but Becky explodes outta the corner with a lariat! Pass into the next corner, put boots to her, referee Chad Patton warns her and she breaks. Boot up on the charge, trading strikes, backslide pin for two. Figure four headscissors, smashing Lynch’s face into the mat repeatedly and Charlotte licks the air after.
Kip-up, fired up, a cover, Matrix evasion sets up a dropkick and Lynch starts coming back only to get passed into the corner and chopped hard! Piefacing her, Becky firing desperate shots and she’s able to whip her into the corner. Flair Flip, taking Lynch to the corner but she kicks Charlotte to the mat! Baseball slide dodged, forearm connects but Flair hits the STO backbreaker and a reverse STO into the ringpost to send us to break!
Back from commercial, Flair whips Lynch into the corner and chops her down! Disdainful kicks, piefacing her, Becky firing back desperate shots, whip, lariats ensue and a leg lariat to finish the combo! Rolling solebutt, flying forearms, pop-up to the apron and Lynch gets some kicks off. Up top, missile dropkick connects, only two! Duck the elbow, off the ropes... FLAIR CATCHES THE DROPKICK INTO THE BOSTON CRAB!
Becky slips out, kick to the floor, diving forearm connects! Back inside, dive off the second, Charlotte sidesteps, Natural Selection... NOT ENOUGH! Flair up top, Lynch picks her leg, stepover, Charlotte with a schoolboy into the turnbuckles to counter, big boot... SO CLOSE! Looking for the figure four, kicked into the corner, schoolboy, still just two! Becky floats over a slam, inverted DDT connects!
Leg drop off the second is only good for two! Dis-Arm-Her attempt countered into a spear... NOPE! Flair frustrated, Lynch capitalizes...
Becky Lynch wins by pinfall with a crucifix pin, earning Raw tonight’s first draft pick.
Commentary explains the rules of the draft to us.
Seth Rollins is interviewed backstage.
He says Bray Wyatt doesn’t give a damn where he’s drafted and that’s not good for any of us. He thought he put an end to this at Hell in a Cell, the things he did, the place he went to, he’s not proud of it but he did what he had to do to survive. He doesn’t even know if the Fiend is a human being, and on Friday something clicked-- maybe he’s been going about this all wrong.
The Fiend has been picking his spots and that ends tonight, because tonight, he’s going Fiend hunting. He promises us that he’ll find Bray Wyatt by the end of the night and end this.
And so we go to break.

Mustafa cuts Almas off anyway, whip across, corner forearm, whip again, up and over, basement dropkick on the criss-cross! Putting boots to him in the corner, shoulder armbreaker, whip but Ali has the back body drop scouted with a front kick.

Backstage, the Street Profits do their usual hype job for tonight’s show when the OC roll up to congratulate them for being on Raw. AJ Styles tells them they have “it”, but if he can be honest, he isn’t really sure why USA drafted them. No beef, but why’d they draft the Profits to host the show when the OC is already there? He tells them to enjoy their little niche but to remember that Raw belongs to the OC.
AND WE GOT A BRAWL! The OC overpower the Profits pretty quickly and put boots to them until referees and road agents come by to help.
Ricochet makes his entrance and gets a picture in picture promo about how you control your own destiny and he’ll continue to overcome all obstacles and prove that superheroes can be real.
He’ll be in action after the break.

Clubbing him down, off the ropes, backflip, black magic enzuigiri gets Ricochet some berathing room!

She talks about how she likes it deeper and the masseuse leaves. Bobby Lashley tags in and starts massaging her, which she likes. She talks about how Rusev was never that good and then flips over at Lashley’s request.
In the ring, Jerry “the King” Lawler is ready to moderate the contract signing between Strowman and Fury.
He says a few words and then introduces both men.
They take their seats and Lawler says they’ve promised that things will remain professional tonight. Braun begins, he says he knows more about Tyson than he thinks-- that he’s undefeated, a hell of an athlete, and he’s got one of the biggest egos he’s ever seen. And he knows he wrecked the SmackDown premier because he was trying to steal WWE’s spotlight, and he’ll be damned if Fury uses him as a stepping stone to further his career.
In Saudi Arabia, he’s stepping into Braun’s world, and he’s gonna slam him in the middle of the ring for his first loss ever. And the funny part? There ain’t a damn thing he can do about it but get These Hands. Strowman then signs the contract and passes it to Fury.
Tyson picks the mic up, sets it down, signs the contract, and picks the mic back up. He says he’s a fan of Braun’s and he was at SmackDown to see him, actually. For the last year all his kids have been talking about is Strowman’s great feats of strength, but he’s not out of his element in any ring, and he’s gonna prove that at Crown Jewel after he knocks Braun out!
They stand up and stare each other down as the King collects the contract and gets outta there. STROWMAN SMASHES THE TABLE WITH ONE DOUBLE SLEDGE! Fury holds up the (assumedly steel-barreled) pen they signed the contract with and breaks it, but it takes him a few tries.
He leaves, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Al Roker calls the draft like it’s a weather forecast for... some... reason.
Stephanie McMahon is here with our next round of picks, and Raw gets... Samoa Joe!
SmackDown’s next choice is... the Miz!
Raw gets Akira Tozawa!
SmackDown gets King Baron Corbin!
And Raw closes the round with Shelton Benjamin!
Buddy Murphy vs. Cedric Alexander
Circling, collar and elbow, Murphy with a wristlock, Alexander rolls into a reversal! Buddy pressing him to the mat, headscissors counter, legsweep, legsweep, roll through, stalemate! Pass Cedric hard into the corner, he gets away with desperate chops, dumped to the apron, shoulder thrust, Alexander springboards but Buddy shoves him and he falls to the floor to send us to break.
Back from commercial, Alexander nails him with an enzuigiri from the apron and Murphy returns a jumping knee strike! Off the ropes... BUDDY MURPHY TOPE CON GIRO! Back inside, up top, Meteora connects... STILL NO! Superkick caught, Cedric nails him with a back elbow instead, dropkick into the barricade, and a suicide dive to follow! Back inside, springboard reverse STO lands true... NOT ENOUGH!
Block the Lumbar Check, land on his feet, boot up on the charge but Alexander hits a gamengiri and climbs up after him. Murphy slips under, Cheeky Nando’s sets up the Liger Bomb for two! Pumphandle...
Buddy Murphy wins by pinfall with Murphy’s Law.
Commentary hypes up Crown Jewel.

So with that to look forward to, we go to break.

Stephanie McMahon has our last round of draft picks, and Raw selects the arguable greatest of all time... Rey Mysterio!
SmackDown gets Chad Gable.
Raw picks Titus O’Neil.
SmackDown picks Elias.
And Raw finishes the draft, picking... Liv Morgan!
The panel discusses these picks.
Natalya makes her entrance for her match and gets on the mic.
She says she was asked to pick a partner tonight to face the champs, so she knew she had to pick the best. She had to pick a woman that’s taken her to her limit, and only one woman comes to mind... Lacey Evans!
We go to break before the match can begin.
Asuka & Kairi Sane vs. Lacey Evans & Natalya
Evans and Sane to start with the match in progress, off the ropes, counter the leapfrog with a big boot and Kairi falls to the floor! Sane hits a huge backfist on the floor and lines her up for a running blockbuster! Breaking the count, in and out, overhand chops against the apron, pulling Lacey back inside, fighting from guard as Evans tries to lay grounded forearms in.
Tag to Asuka, perching, diving double axehandle, wristlock kick to the elbow, Kawada kicks set up a kneeling armbar. Drop toehold for separation, back elbow, tag to Natalya! Discus lariat, whip reversed but she gets a German suplex off and clears the apron! Pick the legs, step through, Sharpshooter reversed into a grapevined ankle lock! Nattie posts to her feet, lifts her up, victory roll reversal!
Step through again, Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring, Asuka posts up to relieve the pressure but Neidhart pulls her into the center of the ring! Sane runs in, two-handed bulldog to break the submission! Asuka running hip attack sends Nattie to the floor and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Asuka is in control with an octopus hold! Natalya posts up and out, basement dropkick connects and both women are down and out. The path is clear... but Asuka cuts her off with a deathlock rear chinlock, shift to a deathlock surfboard, change to the cross armbar! Reverse to a pin, reaching for the tag, Asuka blocks with a stomp!
Stnding armbar, stomps to the shoulder, Asuka clears the apron and fires off a knee at Neidhart before drawing her up. Nattie with a palm strike, tag to Sane. Double suplex, bodyscissors, into a guillotine choke but Neidhart reverses to a vertical suplex! Tag made and Evans comes in hot with lariats! Swinging neckbreaker, back roll splash, only two.
Putting Kairi into the corner, Senton de la Muerte into a slingshot dropkick and a slingshot elbow drop, still just a two count! Stepping over her, Lacey heads up top, kicks Asuka down but Sane hangs her up in the Tree of Woe for a basement dropkick! Headed up top... DIVING DOUBLE STOMP BUT NATTIE MAKES THE SAVE! Dumping her to the floor, she’s got Evans in the corner for the sliding lariat!
Fired up and calling for it, up top, Asuka tags in, nobody home on the elbow and Woman’s Right connects but Asuka comes in...
Kabuki Warriors win by pinfall with a folding press from Asuka on Lacey Evans.
Firefly Fun House begins immediately.
Bray Wyatt calls Seth Rollins out, saying he saw him and people say really mean things about Seth, but he thinks he’s strong and brave and smart. But he has to understand that He never forgets, and Rambling Rabbit chooses this moment to pop up and have a freakout. Bray asks him to trust him and go play and shoos him off... AND SETH ROLLINS ATTACKS FROM BEHIND WITH A FLYING KNEE!
He beats Bray down and tears the portraits off his photo wall as the puppet friends beg him to stop! Wyatt rises up and screams his name before begging off, asking why he’s doing this to him. Rollins continues his assault, knocking Bray off-screen. He says his catchphrase and lights a literal match to set the table on fire and burn it down.
The flames lick higher as the Fiend laughs.
That’s the show, folks.
