The Raw Women’s title match between Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks at Royal Rumble will be a dream come true for fans who’ve been waiting to see The Boss return to the main event. It’s also a dream match for the champ herself.
Is it part of a larger story of Rousey taking on all of NXT’s Horsewomen?
We’ve long heard about WWE’s hopes to do a MMA Four Horsewomen vs. NXT Four Horsewomen feud. There’s already a rumor that Sasha vs. Ronda is happening because of plans shifting to a WrestleMania 35 Triple Threat between Rowdy, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair.
Maybe they won’t wait for Shayna Baszler to be done on the black-and-yellow brand, or Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir to be ready to do much besides basic striking and bumping. With Rousey reminding us of Sasha’s affiliation with her likely ‘Mania opponent(s), perhaps she’ll just try to go through them herself?
Banks in Phoenix, Bayley at Elimination Chamber or Fastlane, Flair & Lynch after that.
