Dolph Ziggler understands why Dean Ambrose would leave WWE

If there was one person who could understand where Dean Ambrose is coming from, it’s Dolph Ziggler.

Earlier this week, the pro wrestling world was taken aback by the news of Dean Ambrose leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35. The promotion itself even got out in front of the news and has only heated up speculation on whether this whole situation is a work or shoot.

Appearing on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Ziggler gave his own insight on to what Ambrose may be thinking with his next career move.

“I think he heard about my hiatus and was just trying to one-up me. That’s very surprising to me. I don’t know too many people who are too close to him that would have any insight. I really wouldn’t want to guess anything. I didn’t see that coming. He’s always got something going on and is always in a prominent role, doing something great and he’s seemed beloved by the fans. He could just try to move on and do some other stuff. I can understand.”

Ziggler added.

“It’s hard to read him sometimes. He’s a ridiculously nice guy and loves the business. Definitely does his own thing. Kind of in his own world a lot. I’m friends with his wife, Renee, and we talk all the time. But Dean and I, if we’re putting a match together, we talk, but otherwise really friendly guy, loves wrestling, loves having a good time but definitely does his own thing. Maybe he’s looking to go do his own thing some more.”

With rumors swirling yearly about Ziggler’s status with WWE, he can give a different perspective into what Ambrose may be doing here. It was less than a week ago where it looked like Ziggler was planning his own exit strategy from WWE.

Do you agree with Dolph Ziggler’s assessment on the Dean Ambrose situation?
