Becky Lynch won the Royal Rumble, and quickly announced she would use her WrestleMania title shot to finally get a match with Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey. The two have been beefing for months, took part in an iconic brawl on Raw and shared an electric segment this past Monday while making their match for MetLife Stadium official.
However, that brawl took Becky out of a planned showdown between the two at Survivor Series. Lynch’s spot was taken by Charlotte Flair, and Rowdy & The Queen delivered a barnburner of a match that ended in a disqualification when Flair went to her trusty kendo stick rather than risk taking a loss. Ronda interfered in the SmackDown Women’s title match at TLC, costing Bex & Char that belt. Flair was the last wrestler The Man threw out of the ring to win the Rumble.
And in addition to how intertwined their stories are, rumors have it that WWE has been planning to make the Raw Women’s title bout at ‘Mania a Triple Threat all along.
Much of the reaction we’ve heard to reports and signs of Charlotte being added to Ronda & Becky’s match has sounded like this: “NOOOOOOOOOO!”
But not all of it. Some has sounded like “Let’s see how the story plays out,” or “She de-serv-es it [clap clap clapclapclap]”.
So we’re here to ask you, Cagesiders...
Poll
Should Charlotte Flair be added to Ronda Rousey & Becky Lynch’s WrestleMania match?
... after you cast your vote, (civilly) explain your decision in the comments below. We don’t think WWE is going to listen, but the McMahons did say it’s a new era, so it’s worth a chance.
