What’s next for NXT? The black-and-yellow brand films at their home base of Full Sail Live on Thurs., Jan. 3 to give us some answers.
We’ll start seeing the action taped tonight next week during NXT’s regular Wednesday night series on WWE Network. These shows should take us all the way to TakeOver: Phoenix on Jan. 26 - the eve of Royal Rumble.
What do Triple H and team have in store for us? Join us as we start updating results live when as they roll in from Winter Park, Florida after the scheduled 6:30PM Eastern bell time:
- Stacey Ervin, Jr. over Shane Thorne.
- Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo segment. He says his 2018 was a rollercoaster but his 2019 will be much better and successful as defined by the metric of winning titles. There will be no DIY reunion, Tomasso Ciampa is garbage and he wants his title, but he’s also coming for Ricochet’s North American Championship.
- Ricochet comes out and tells him he has a shot if he asks, and Ciampa also tries to join in but Johnny tells him to leave. Aleister Black comes on the tron and says in Phoenix he’ll make Ciampa fade to black. The lights go out, and when they come back, Black attacks Tomasso and Gargano lays Ricochet out with a superkick.
- Bianca Belair over Nikki Cross.
- Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel over Hector Kunsman & Stanley Watts.
- Adam Cole over EC3.
- Post-match, Undisputed ERA attack EC3 until War Raiders make the save and run them off.
- Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) over Metro Brothers (Chris & JC Metro).
- Post-match, Forgotten Sons run in and beat Street Profits down.
- Bianca Belair gets a promo segment, talking about how she ran Nikki Cross off and she has Shayna Baszler in her sights. Baszler comes out with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke in tow and says she’ll take Belair from “undefeated” to “overrated”, which earns her a slap from the EST to close the segment.
- Dominik Dijakovic over Adrian Jaoude.
- Johnny Gargano over Humberto Carrillo.
- Kassius Ohno over Keith Lee with a low blow.
- Post-match, Matt Riddle runs Ohno off.
- Velveteen Dream comes out for a promo segment and announces his intent to go after the North American Championship, which brings Adam Cole and Bobby Fish out. Cole says 2019 is the year of Undisputed ERA and both he and Fish are coming for gold. VD dodges a beatdown from the TUE boys.
- Lacey Evans over Xia Li.
- Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan over Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel.
- Io Shirai & Kairi Sane over Amber Nova & Tanea Brooks.
- Velveteen Dream over Bobby Fish.
- Ricochet comes out for a promo segment and shows Johnny Gargano showed his true colors in 2018. Gargano comes out and tells him he won’t attack and then proceeds to try and attack, but the One and Only dodges it.
- This leads Tomasso Ciampa to come out and blindside Ricochet. Aleister Black makes the save but Johnny helps out his old pal Tom.
- It seems like DIY are ready to make up on the stage, but Candice LeRae comes down to try and talk some sense into Gargano.
- Aleister Black, Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight), & Ricochet over Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick Strong)
