Daniel Bryan threw the old WWE championship in the trash before unveiling a new, eco-friendly WWE championship title on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. It looks incredible, and it is incredible, like Bryan is incredible.
His first defense of that new title was also set, and it, too, should be incredible.
Indeed, Triple H announced that Bryan will defend the title inside the Elimination Chamber at the upcoming pay-per-view of the same name on Sun., Feb. 17, 2019, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
He’ll be defending against:
- Randy Orton
- AJ Styles
- Samoa Joe
- Mustafa Ali
- Jeff Hardy
This came about when all of the above came out and just sort of made sure they were around the champion, each attempting to lay claim to a title shot. They were all given one in the name of the next WWE gimmick match.
Here’s the updated Elimination Chamber match card:
- Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Mustafa Ali vs. Jeff Hardy (WWE championship Elimination Chamber match)
- Nia Jax & Tamina vs. The Riott Squad vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA (Women’s tag team championship Elimination Chamber match)
- The Miz & Shane McMahon (c) vs. The Usos (SmackDown tag team championship)
