The women’s Royal Rumble match was short on surprise entrants this year, but the men’s version kicked things off with a Hall of Famer (of the TNA and WWE varieties). He entered at #2, and meshed well with the #1 entrant.

They teased a Double J & Elias duet, but the Drifter was tired of being interrupted, and tired of being compared to Jeff Jarrett, and maybe tired of being a babyface (he made fun of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ attendance before smashing his guitar over Jarrett’s back and eliminating him).
