They didn’t make it onto the pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Jan. 27, but 205 Live’s Superstars were the last match before the main Royal Rumble card started in Phoenix’s Chase Field. The Kickoff show is a familiar spot for the cruiserweights, but at least Buddy Murphy, Hideo Itami, Akira Tozawa & Kalisto had a mostly full stadium to show off in front of.
Cruiserweight champ Murphy asked General Manager Drake Maverick for a challenge, and he got it in the form of a Fatal 4Way. 205 Live’s roster has continually asked for a chance to impress the WWE Universe, and they got one in Arizona.
How’s they do? Check some of these and decide for yourself:

Action like that left all four men wiped out and the fans on their feet. After a series of striking exchanges that would have fit into a good action movie...
Kicks on kicks on kicks from @WWE_Murphy, @KalistoWWE and @TozawaAkira!

....it came down to Murphy and Itami. The veteran Japanese Superstar set-up for his finisher, but the Aussie champ slipped free, delivered a series of loud knee strikes and finished with Murphy’s Law.
