WWE Raw viewers did not stick around for Ronda & Sasha

WWE.com

After Jan. 14’s bounce back in Monday Night Raw viewers, WWE got more good news from the numbers on Jan. 21. The first hour had an even bigger audience than last week’s average of last week’s 2.72 million viewers!

Unfortunately, those folks didn’t stick around. Viewership declined rapidly and steadily en route to an average of 2.46 million on MLK Day...

Hour one: 2.84 million
Hour two: 2.4 million
Hour three: 2.14 million

While there are a lot of factors here, a critical read provides a plausible explanation. The best material started and ended the show. After a strong open building Royal Rumble’s Universal title match, fans weren’t interested or willing to sit through pose-offs (however fun), lots of tag matches, a “Moment of Bliss” segment, Baron Corbin vs. Elias part 800, etc, etc, to get to the final push for Sunday’s Women’s championship match.

Next week’s fallout show should pique interest again. Will WWE be able to convince people to stick around for the entire episode, though?
