Enjoy the show!

Subconscious strange sensation, unconscious relaxation. What a pleasant nightmare and I can’t wait to get there again. Every time I close my eyes there’s another vivid surprise, another whole life waiting; chapters unfinished, fading. Closer now— Slowly coming into view. I’ve arrived— Blinding sunshine beaming through, and I’m going to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the intro video.

We see Ricochet walking into the building “moments ago.”

Velveteen Dream makes his entrance and begins talking, saying he’s got a sparkle in his eye, or something special in his sights. Correct him if he’s wrong, but the Dream waits for no man, but if they really knew him they’d know the sparkle is a sparkle of championship gold. More specifically, the North American Championship. So it’s time, high time for the Dream--

(SHOCK. THE SYSTEM.)

Undisputed ERA’s Adam Cole and Bobby Fish make their way out. Cole tells VD to pump the brakes because everybody knows that 2019 will be the year of Undisputed ERA and they’re gonna capture not one, not two, but all the gold that NXT has to offer. O’Reilly and Strong are busy getting ready for another successful defense, but they’re here without any gold to speak of.

He and Bobby don’t like showing up empty-handed, though, so very soon they’ll have gold around their waists, and Velveteen can continue to dream on. Bobby shames Dream for getting the people’s hopes up and tells him he’s got to learn to live in reality, because 2019 will continue to be their era, and that is undisputed. VD says he’s ready to dispute that claim, in fact, but only if it’s okay with Adam.

Fish heads in the ring, Dream passes him and Cole to the floor in turn and backs up off the ramp before they can attack, leaving them jawing at him from the ring.

Commentary hypes TakeOver: Phoenix up and this segues into a video package for Shayna Baszler vs. Bianca Belair.

A recap of Kassius Ohno’s victory over Keith Lee and the ensuing Matt Riddle run-in follows, along with the announcement of Kassius Ohno vs. Matt Riddle for TakeOver: Phoenix.

Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan vs. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel

Barthel and Lorcan to start, test of strength reversed into a wristlock by Oney but Marcel turns it into a strike exchange and passes him into the corner for forearms. Tag to Aichner, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, only two, tag back to Barthel and they put boots to Lorcan together. Tag to Fabian, double whip, duck a lariat, tag to Burch! All chops and forearms, fighting them off two for one, lariats, off the ropes, pop-up leg pick and a headbutt!

Corner lariat, gamengiri, to the second, missile dropkick takes Aichner out and Danny kips up! Tag to Oney, double team denied, Barthel throws Burch into Lorcan and hits the Air Raid Crash. Lorcan dumps him, uppercuts earn a lariat that turns him inside damn out! Tag to Marcel, quick tag back to Fabian, body slam tossed into a brainbuster, suicide dive, Aicher with a triangle moonsault... NOT ENOUGH!

Got Oney up for a powerbomb, Barthel with a diving uppercut to complete it but Lorcan rolls through into a half-crab! Burch gets into it with Marcel, the German lands an enzuigiri, off the ropes and he’s laid out with a lariat! Fabian hits a boot to run Danny off! Big slaps into a running uppercut, Oney runnning hot, diving on his own partner and Marcel! Aichner... TRIANGLE CROSSBODY TO THE FLOOR!

Nobody home on the springboard, Lorcan thinks fast...

Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan win by pinfall with a schoolboy pin from Lorcan on Fabian Aichner.

A video package for Aleister Black vs. Tommaso Ciampa is up now.

Amber Nova & Tanea Brooks vs. Io Shirai & Kairi Sane

You may recognize Brooks here as Rebel, formerly of Impact Wrestling fame. Shirai and Nova to start, handspring into a dropkick, tag to Sane, double whip, back elbows, double drop down and they trip Amber up. Kairi with a neckbreaker, into the sliding elbow, up top, arguing with Brooks and she gets the tag. Tanea with a knee lift but they run the ropes and Sane hits the spear!

Tag to Io, forearms, off the ropes, basement dropkick connects and she follows with the Tiger feint kick! A Shotei runs Nova off, springboard dropkick takes both her opponents out! Spinebuster, off the ropes, pop-up elbow drop into a step-up moonsault... IT’S OVER!

Io Shirai & Kairi Sane win by pinfall with a step-up moonsault from Shirai on Tanea Brooks.

We get a backstage promo from Shirai and Sane where they talk about how unstoppable they are until Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir roll up to welcome Kairi back from her “adventures” and pledge to send her out to sea.

Bobby Fish vs. Velveteen Dream

Dream backing into the corner but Fish is able to land a few shots and turn him around. Probing kicks, Velveteen catches one, Bobby reverses into a side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, drop down, fireman’s carry but Fish slips out and shoves him into the ropes. VD with a dropkick, Bobby gets a boot up but his kick is ducked and Dream lands a diving double axehandle that sends Fish to the floor.

Slingshot to the apron, triangle dropkick when Bobby tries to come back in the ring, headed up top, diving double axehandle to the floor! Back inside while Adam Cole jaws, VD with a club across the back, a forearm, Fish returning shots of his own and Velveteen lays the punches in. Waistlock applied, back elbow to break, Cole with the distraction and Bobby slides low to pick a leg and hit the dragon screw on the floor!

Back in, letting Dream writhe in agony on the floor a moment before heading back out to kick his leg out of his leg! Back inside, Muay Thai knees into the corner, snapmare, double slingshot into a senton atomico... only one! Leg kick, pick the leg, VD holds onto the ropes and manages to kick Fish away! Hobble to his feet, chop block takes him right back out and a schoolboy pin gets two.

Leg pick, into a half-crab, Dream’s face a rictus of agony but he manages to roll to his back and throw upkicks with his good leg for the break. Wicked knees from VD feed into a missile dropkick... NOPE! Punches in the corner, referee Darryl Sharma warning him off and he shifts to a spinebuster before heading up top... PURPLE RAINMAKER BUT FISH PUSHES HIM OFF AND INTO THE KNEEBAR!

Arguments lead to the break, can’t do it, fireman’s carry, the legs give out, Fish out and back in and the second try leads the Dream Valley Bomb to connect! Up top...

Velveteen Dream wins by pinfall with the Purple Rainmaker.

We see Johnny Gargano entering the building and take a break for a house ad.

Commentary hypes up Forgotten Sons vs. Street Profits and Sane & Shirai vs. Duke & Shafir for next week.

Ricochet makes his entrance and gets on the mic and says two weeks ago Johnny Gargano came out here and talked about being better, but not five minutes later he blindsided him with a superkick? The way he sees it, 2019 Gargano is the same as 2018 Gargano, and the only thing he did in 2018 was show the world his true colors, that he only cares about his own miserable self.

But in 2018, Ricochet showed his own true colors when he won the NXT North American Championship and showed the NXT Universe that he’s something Johnny is not, a champion. Johnny comes out and says he knows what he’s trying to do and if this was 2018 he’d rush the ring like a madman, but in 2019, Johnny Gargano always has a plan. He enters the ring while talking and attacks Ricochet!

They brawl, Ricochet hits a pump kick that sends Johnny to the floor... AND TOMMASO CIAMPA ATTACKS RICOCHET FROM BEHIND! He and Gargano stare at each other a beat and Johnny decides to just beat Ricochet down more while Tommaso claps in approval! Aleister Black attacks Ciampa himself and beats him down in the corner! Gargano has a moment of hesitation but saves his former tag partner and lays Black out with a superkick!

Tom beats Aleister down while Johnny looks on for a beat before Ricochet recovers enough that Gargano has to take a moment to beat him down! Slingshot DDT on Ricochet, Angel’s Wings on Black! Ciampa backs off clutching his title and Gargano meets him at the base of the ramp. They have a tense moment, circling each other and slowly heading up top, until they reach the stage.

Ciampa begs off and reaches a hand out... AND CANDICE LERAE COMES DOWN TO TELL JOHNNY NOT TO DO IT! He backs off at her insistence.

That’s the show, folks.
