WWE announces the announcers for Royal Rumble 2019

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) is the first major WWE event of the year, and it’s being treated like one, as the company announced today what the announcing lineup will look like for the show scheduled for Sun., Jan. 27, 2019, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

The first hour of the Kickoff show will see a panel that consists of Jonathan Coachman, Beth Phoenix, Booker T, and Jerry Lawler. The second hour will see Shawn Michaels and David Otunga replace Booker and Lawler. There will be a second panel during all this, that will feature Charly Caruso and JBL.

Kayla Braxton, Dasha Fuentes, and Sarah Schreiber will handle backstage interviews.

The Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live announce teams will call matches from their respective brands. When the men’s Royal Rumble comes on, JBL and Jerry Lawler will join Michael Cole and Corey Graves to call that. When the women’s Royal Rumble comes on, Renee Young and Beth Phoenix will join Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.

Last but not least, Greg Hamilton and Mike Rome will be ring announcers.
