Following nearly a week centered around rumors and reports of The Revival requesting their release from the company, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder received a tag team title shot on Raw.
Not only did The Revival get a chance to take away Bobby Roode and Chad Gable’s titles, they also were featured in a backstage segment with Vince McMahon.

McMahon appointed Curt Hawkins as the special guest referee to the Raw tag team title match later in the night.
The match between Dawson and Wilder versus Roode and Gable, featured the challengers trying every heel tactic known to man.

None of The Revival’s cheating worked and they eventually lost the match via a simple roll-up. Post-match, Dawson and Wilder tried to beat-up Hawkins but instead they were run off and punked by of all people Zack Ryder.
