On the Nov. 12, 2018 episode of Raw, Braun Strowman opened the show by interrupting a tag team battle royal and taking the ring hostage. He was furious with Baron Corbin for screwing him over at Crown Jewel, and was sick of chasing the Lone Wolf around the arena. Stephanie McMahon had to come out and negotiate with Braun in order to convince him to leave the ring.
Braun told Stephanie exactly what he wanted:
“I want another Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar...But before that, I want Baron Corbin.”
Stephanie agreed to give Strowman what he wanted, as long as he helped the Raw brand win at Survivor Series:
“On one condition - you don’t lay a hand on Baron Corbin until after Survivor Series. You need to prove that you’re a team player, you need to prove that you are a proud member of the Raw roster, and then, you can have whatever you want.”
Braun accepted her terms but issued the following warning:
“Well I better, because if I don’t, I’m going to WWE headquarters and I’ll destroy the whole building.”
This happened over two months ago, so perhaps WWE expects the audience has forgotten about it by now. But it’s all right there. Strowman made a deal with McMahon that if he was a team player at Survivor Series and didn’t touch Corbin before then, he would get his hands on Corbin afterwards and then have a Universal championship match against Brock Lesnar.
Strowman held up his end of the bargain. He eliminated four members of the SmackDown team at Survivor Series and helped lead Raw to an alleged sweep of the blue brand.
Stephanie granted Braun a match with Corbin at TLC 2018, and from there the Monster earned a Universal championship match against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2019 on Jan. 27, 2019, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
But now that Vince McMahon has taken away Strowman’s Universal championship match at Royal Rumble, it certainly looks like Braun did not get what he wanted. According to the Meat Castle, if he didn’t get what he wanted then he’s going to destroy WWE headquarters.
So is Braun Strowman taking a trip to Stamford, Connecticut to carry out his word, or what?
