Now that we’re past the holidays and both the NFL and college football are done with Monday nights in their respective seasons, WWE finally had the chance to run an episode of Monday Night Raw without such stiff competition this week.
The result was, unsurprisingly, a big increase in viewers.
Indeed, this week’s episode drew 2.72 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.32 million. The audience came early and most of them stuck around for the entire show:
Hour one: 2.77 million
Hour two: 2.78 million
Hour three: 2.61 million
WWE offered a newsworthy show for those viewers too, with Braun Strowman being removed from the Universal championship match at Royal Rumble, Finn Balor winning his way into that spot, the unveiling of the women’s tag team championships, and more.
