Enjoy the show!
- Lio Rush comes down and cuts a promo welcoming us to Lio5 Live and saying that he didn’t come here to make friends or party, he came here to win, and if you couldn’t tell, all you need to do is look at your new Intercontinental Champion, Bobby Lashley. He was supposed to compete at the Royal Rumble, but Lince Dorado took that from him, so now he’s going to Feel the Rush.
- Lucha House Party come down and Lio protests Lince bringing his entourage, asking referee Jason Ayers to throw them out. Kalisto and Gran Metalik leave and Lio beats Lince down a moment before Ayers warns him off and makes sure Dorado is ready to fight.
- Lio Rush over Lince Dorado by pinfall with Final Hour.
- Post-match, Lio attacks Lince some more in the entry until Kalisto and Metalik make the save! Dorado clutches his knee in agony as Rush leaves through the crowd.
- Noam Dar is interviewed backstage and says Tony Nese’s problem is he thinks he’s better than everyone, but last week— Nese interrupts and says the only thing he proved is how lucky he is. Dar points out that Tony lost and Nese shrugs it off, saying 99 out of 100 times he’s got him beat. Noam again points out he lost, to which Tony says they’re 1-1 and should fight again. Dar seemingly approves before again pointing out that Nese lost.
- Drake Maverick is backstage telling referee Rod Zapata to go check on Lince Dorado when
TJ PerkinsTJP rolls up. Drake tells him the opportunity against Buddy Murphy’s been taken by a new debut but he likes that TJ’s here for a new opportunity and showing him this is good, and Perkins walks off as Maverick informs him he’ll let him know if any opportunities open up. - Kalisto gets a promo talking about how seriously he takes lucha libre and how determined he is to win the Cruiserweight Championship back.
- Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa get a promo where Kendrick says he’s teaching Tozawa every devious attack he can think of so he can break his opponents will to compete. Akira turns that high-beam smile on and says “What he said!”
- Ariya Daivari is with Hideo Itami and talks about how Itami is hungry for gold and a threat to your physical well-being. He warns us that he’ll take his throne at Royal Rumble and Hideo just smirks.
- Commentary informs us all three challengers will face in a three-way next week.
- Buddy Murphy comes out and gets on the mic. He tells the crowd to shut their mouths and introduces himself as the greatest cruiserweight of all time and talks about defending his title at Royal Rumble. He says what he wants and does what he wants and we’re going to listen, and tonight he’s got an open challenge for anyone who makes the weight limit.
- His opponent is... HUMBERTO “Ultimo Ninja” CARRILLO!
- Buddy Murphy over Humberto Carrillo by pinfall with Murphy’s Law. Impressive debut for Carrillo. At one point Murphy feigned a knee injury to get a “free” Murphy’s Law but Humberto was able to reverse and keep fighting a few minutes longer.
