The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Bobby Lashley really looked to be on his way to winning the Intercontinental championship. Booked in a triple threat match with Seth Rollins and champion Dean Ambrose, Lashley dominated the early portion of the three man match.

Lashley got a chance to showcase himself during the triple threat. The All Mighty one took everything Rollins and Ambrose, and even forced the former Shield members to briefly team-up with one another.
With Lashley taken out, Ambrose and Rollins again went heads up for the Intercontinental title. On multiple occasions it looked Rollins had Ambrose dead to rights, but each time Lashley’s manager Lio Rush made the save while his client was taken out.
Eventually Lashley made it back to his feet and Rush was once again there for a timely assist.
