It’s been a tough couple weeks for Toni Storm, considering she was driven off social media by some awful folks who were passing around her private photos without her consent. Her fellow wrestlers rallied to support her, and we all hoped she could move on and continue to be the star she’s blossomed into.
Sure enough.
NXT U.K. held its first TakeOver event today in Blackpool, England and she absolutely tore the house down with Rhea Ripley, winning the title that has long eluded her. Ripley defeated Storm in the finals of the tournament to crown the first NXT U.K. women’s champion, and had a nice run with it, but it always felt like Storm would be champion sooner rather than later.
Now she’s champion.
