WWE announces first ever tell-all book, an oral history of WWE

WWE.com

The WWE is getting back in the publishing business.

From the authors of I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution, journalists Craig Marks and Rob Tannenbaum have now be tasked with penning a new book about the WWE.

Advertised as a tell-all book as well as the first oral history of WWE, today (Sept. 6) Dey Street Books announced the project and it seems they will be working closely with the WWE on all aspects of the book.

As of now, the project still feels like its in the planning stages and WWE.com has more details about the direction the book may go.

Marks and Tannenbaum will describe how WWE became one of America’s most successful and enduring businesses. The two will have unprecedented access to the company’s Chairman & CEO, Vince McMahon, who transformed a regional professional wrestling business into a global media and entertainment empire.

The authors will interview current WWE Superstars as well as legends from the past, writers, producers, managers, business executives and celebrities who’ve made guest appearances. This will be the most revealing look yet at the innovative and fearless McMahon, in his own words, his family’s words and the words of those who’ve worked with or against him over the past 50 years.

If the WWE is giving their blessing on this project, how much of a tell-all book can it really be?

Will you read it? Or does this sound like the kind of book written for a non-wrestling audience or maybe even causal fans of the sport?
