WWE Stock Report: Brie Mode is out of control

New, comments

Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report.

In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or teams of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a week that featured Samoa Joe invading the home of AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon confronting Baron Corbin, and Aiden English mentioning that one night in Milwaukee, a lot of fortunes were changed.

With that in mind, let’s see whose stock has increased the most this week:

Stock Up #3: Carmella & R-Truth

Yeah R-Truth did lose his match to Miz this week, but not before he and Carmella stole the show with an entertaining parody of MizTV that included random dance breaks.

Stock Up #2: Naomi & Asuka

Asuka & Naomi kicked off their partnership in successful fashion, with a win over Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. If they keep up this momentum, both babyfaces could be in a strong position to challenge Becky Lynch for the women’s championship before the end of 2018.

Stock Up #1: Dean Ambrose

Dean’s loyalty to The Shield has suddenly become the main focus of the main event feud on Raw. The Lunatic Fringe will likely receive a big spotlight on TV until this story is resolved.

Now let’s see whose stock has decreased the most this week:

Stock Down #3: Chad Gable

Gable actually lost a match against Konnor. Even though Gable has multiple recent victories over The Ascension, it’s never a good look to have your shoulders pinned to the mat by a jobber.

Stock Down #2: Baron Corbin

Corbin was reprimanded by Stephanie McMahon for his inability to control The Shield, and she threatened to bring back Kurt Angle to run the show. Corbin was then able to pick his own partners in the main event against The Shield, but the Hounds of Justice got the better of the acting general manager yet again.

Stock Down #1: Brie Bella

Brie Bella accidentally knocked out Liv Morgan with reckless kicks and gave her a concussion. Following Brie’s dangerous botched dives from earlier this month, many fans are now concerned about Brie’s ability to wrestle a safe match.

There you have it, Cagesiders. Whose stock do you think has changed the most this week?
