WWE Super Show-Down match card, rumors

New, comments

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is a special event entitled Super Show-Down, which is set to take place on Sat., Oct. 6, 2018, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia. This was a late add to the schedule, so it’s come together in just the past few months.

We’re just under two weeks out from showtime. Here’s how the card looks:

  • Undertaker vs. Triple H

They’re billing this as a “LAST TIME EVER” match but rumors and reports suggest they could be wrestling in a tag match as soon as a month later. Either way, they’re getting another singles match here.

  • The Shield vs. The Dogs of War

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins have all been feuding with Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, and Dolph Ziggler in various forms for a while now. Here, they’ll work a six-man tag.

  • AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe (WWE championship)

This is being pushed as a No Disqualification, no count out match because, as SmackDown Live General Manager Paige put it, there must be a winner.

  • Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs. The Riott Squad

Ruby Riott beat up Natalya to take her place in a Raw women’s title open challenge match, and then Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan got involved. Nikki & Brie Bella assisted Rousey, and here we are.

  • Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown women’s championship)

Lynch won the title at Hell in a Cell, and this is Flair’s rematch.

  • John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens & Elias

Lashley has been going back-and-forth with Elias a bit but they’re selling this as a match where all four have never shared the ring before. Cena has been off in China filming a movie and has slimmed down quite a bit.

  • Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz

The winner will receive a future WWE championship match, though it isn’t specified when that will be.

  • The New Day (c) vs. The Bar (SmackDown tag team championship)

Cesaro & Sheamus lost to Rusev Day when they could have earned a title match at Hell in a Cell, so I guess they’re just next in line?

  • Asuka & Naomi vs. The IIconics

Billie Kay & Peyton Royce return home.

  • Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Buddy Murphy (Cruiserweight championship)

Murphy returns home, and gets a title shot.

That’s the card as it stands now, and may end up being the complete event.
