Shawn Michaels has entered the building. Following a eight-year retirement from the squared circle, a new report confirms that The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is now scheduled to return to the WWE as an active competitor.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required and encouraged), Dave Meltzer reports that Michaels will compete in a tag-team match at WWE’s Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia on Friday, Nov. 2.
Michaels will reportedly team with Triple H to take on Undertaker and Kane in a standard tag-team match.
Rumors have swirled for weeks now that was the direction the WWE was headed, but its still a bit shocking that after nearly a decade away from the ring, HBK is returning to action for WWE Network event on a Friday afternoon.
Meltzer would go to add that the 53-year-old Michaels was offered too much money to pass on this opportunity and the WWE came at him hard back in April to compete at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia as well.
With ten years of potential Shawn Michaels dream matches in the rear view mirror, are you excited about a potential DX vs. Brothers of Destruction Attitude Era tag-team match, but in 2018?
Will HBK stick around for anymore matches after Crown Jewel?
