Aiden English snaps on Rusev after title match, attacks former friend

Most awkward Rusev Day ever.

The on again, off again friendship of Rusev and Aiden English may have finally hit its breaking point this week on SmackDown. Off the heels of losing their title match to the New Day at Hell in a Cell, on Tuesday Rusev was in no mood to talk with English.

Rusev dissed English and basically pointed the finger at him for not pulling his weight during the team’s title shot. During the backstage interaction, English was visibly crushed.

You could actually pinpoint the exact moment where Rusev broke English’s heart.

Looking to vent, English went off on a random WWE employee. The problem? Lana was standing right behind English during his angry rant.

His bad?

All of this drama happened mere moments before Rusev was set to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States title.

Rusev gave Nakamura all he could handle. At one point Rusev had the champ dead to rights with a Machka Kick but was unable to make it over in time to get the cover.

Moments later, English hopped on the apron and called for his tag team partner to “CRUSH”. This only confused Rusev more and allowed Nakamura to roll up his challenger for the 1-2-3.

Post-match, English was done playing around and he laid out Rusev with a vicious attack. Using the microphone as a weapon, English repeatedly clubbed Rusev over the head with the foreign object.

Worst Rusev Day ever?
