WWE announces Alexa Bliss injury, replacement for Mixed Match Challenge

Moments ago, Cathy Kelley brought us this news:

“Despite appearing on Monday Night Raw last night, Alexa Bliss woke up this morning and sought medical attention complaining about numbness in her left arm. Now as a reminder, Alexa had a match against the Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey this past Sunday night at WWE Hell in a Cell where Alexa tapped to the champion’s arm bar. We can officially announce at this time that Alexa Bliss has not been medically cleared to compete at the WWE live events this weekend or in tonight’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge. Now I got a word in with acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin and he announced that Alexa Bliss’ replacement would be none other than Ember Moon. So tonight we will see Braun Strowman team up with Ember Moon to take on Kevin Owens and Natalya in WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge season two, which premieres tonight at 10PM Eastern on Facebook Watch.”

Sounds to me like some selling for the devastating power of Ronda’s submission finisher, that could also double as a way to advance the issue started on Raw last night (Sept. 17) between Team Bliss and Moon & her new friend Nia Jax - either because Ember takes the fall for Team Little Big or because she wins and eclipses (see what I did there) the Goddess.

Hopefully it is a work, because numbness in the extremities is often a sign of a spinal and/or nervous system issue.

We’ll let you know what we find out. You let us know if you’re excited for Moon possibly jumping off the shoulders of the Monster Among Men.
