For a few fleeting moments it felt like Baron Corbin could be your next WWE Universal champion.
In the first hour of tonight’s episode of Raw, Corbin booked himself into a title match versus a worn out Roman Reigns. This was truly a jerk move by the current Raw GM.
Before tonight’s main event, Corbin even spoke with the WWE official in charge of the match and reminded him that he helps put food on his family’s table. What a horrible boss.
Then because at the end of the day he is still Baron Corbin, the Constable got himself disqualified from the match when he heaved a chair right into the face of Reigns, right in front of the referee.
What an idiot.
Quick to pivot away from a problem, Corbin restarted the match as a No DQ affair and then things got wild.

After Corbin couldn’t capitalize on using weapons legally, Braun Strowman made his way down into the ring and took out Reigns. The Big Dog battled back and then Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler came down to try to get Corbin the win.
Before the Raw tag team champions could do any damage, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose got in on the action as the entire match dissolved into a runaway train.

So after all that chaos you figure Baron Corbin was in prime position to pull off the upset and take the title off Roman Reigns? Nope.
Corbin ate a spear moments after he stepped back into the ring looking to finish off Reigns.
Sorry Constable, maybe next time.
