WWE SmackDown Live ratings (Sept. 11, 2018): Numbers down for Hell in a Cell go home

There was no football to blame, but fictional bikers and all-too-real remembrances kept WWE from having a second straight not disappointing night on Tues., Sept. 11.

SmackDown‘s viewership was down nearly 100K from the week prior, to 2,229,000. That made the Hell in a Cell ‘go home’ show, with four matches announced in advance, the seventh most watched cable original on the night, trailing Fox News’ slate of political talk and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on a day of national reflection here in the United States.

There was a similar drop in the ratings. The blue brand’s demographic share among 18 - 49 year olds was down to .72, second on the night after FX’s new Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans M.C.

We’ll see what a fallout show does for WWE next Tuesday. Here’s a list of SmackDown’s numbers over the past six months:
