All of the usual caveats apply, so if you’re heading down to the comments to drag me with “card subject to change... duh” or “obviously these are dark matches for the taping, you nonce” - knock yourself out, and thanks for your clicks and comments.
Those things are true about the early advertisment from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. about Oct. 16’s SmackDown 1000 anniversary show. But if you don’t think there’s a strong possibility all of these feuds won’t still be going on come next month, you have more faith in the creativity of WWE creative than I do...
The Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles is already booked for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) on Sept. 16 AND the Super Show-Down mega house show in Melbourne, Australia on Sat., Oct. 6... so what’s another couple weeks? Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton have a Hell in a Cell match at the PPV of the same name, but why would that end a feud? At least more Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz makes sense after their mixed tag in San Antonio on the 16th.
Maybe currently idle U.S. Champ Shinsuke Nakamura will actually have a feud by the blue brand’s big anniversary show.
Anyway, feel free to give me reasons to be less snarky about SmackDown 1000 below. Obviously, I could use them.
