WWE is at Full Sail Live tonight (Aug. 8) to film something other than NXT — the highly anticipated second edition of WWE’s women’s tournament, the Mae Young Classic (MYC)!
A field of 32 new and returning names will participate in two nights of action in Winter Park, Florida. We know all the competitors in advance this year (find those here), and when the finals will take place — at the first WWE all-women’s pay-per-view (PPV) Evolution on Oct. 28.
We also know that Renee Young and Beth Phoenix will join Michael Cole to call the action, and new episodes will drop every week after NXT starting from Sept. 5 all the way to the aforementioned final. That action will be taped, and we’ll know all about it starting tonight.
We’ll be updating results here live, starting at the scheduled 6:30 pm ET bell time:
- Triple H opened the evening welcoming everyone to the show. He also brought out the announce team, to a predictably good ovation.
- Britt Baker def. Tesha Price via submission in a pre-show match.
- This is when they went to the Parade of Champions, which you can view here.
- Tegan Nox def. Zatara Cabrona
- Rhea Ripley def. MJ Jenkins
- Lacey Lane def. Vanessa Kraven
- Meiko Satomura def. Killer Kelly, which is the end of the first episode
- Deonna Purrazzo def. Priscilla Kelly
- Zeuxis def. Aerial Monroe
- Kacy Catanzaro def. Reina Gonzalez
- Mercedes Martinez def. Ashley Rayne, which is the end of the second episode
- Kaitlyn def. Kavita Devi
- Toni Storm def. Jinny
- Xia Li def. Karen Q
- Mia Yim def. Allysin Kay, which is the end of the third episode
- Hiroyo Matsumoto def. Rachel Evers
- Taynara Conti def. Jessie Elaban
- Nicole Matthews def. Isla Dawn
- Io Shirai def. Xia Brookside, which is the end of fourth episode
That’s it for night one!
