He began teasing it on Twitter last week...
The 6th move of doom.
— John Cena (@JohnCena) August 3, 2018
Ready for #WWEShanghai.
Sept 1st.
At that time, it was impossible to tell (a) if Cena was just joking or (b) where in the sequence of diving shoulderblock, sitout hip toss, side-release spinout powerbomb, Five Knuckle Shuffle, Attitude Adjustment this new “move of doom” would fall.
As such, I noted the date, but didn’t think too much of it. Again, this could all just be noted internet weird-o John Cena being an internet weird-o.
But then, WWE released this video of Cena from Jackie Chan’s training facility in Tianjin, China, where he recognizing the declining impact of the AA and reveals it will be a new finisher he’ll break out in Shanghai:
“I couldn’t think of a better way to show my appreciation for China, Chinese people and Chinese culture than to debut what I think is a finishing move that will provide me much victory in Shanghai on Sept. 1.”
New Cena finisher and Ronda Rousey?!?! There go ALL IN’s viewers... in Shanghai, anyway.
